hey...just came across this on the yahoo music page. Its kind of amusing...kind of like the caption thread over in the ev exchange.

If you want to find great music videos, Y! Music is the place to go! We were sitting around one night last week, reading all the great blogs here, when we noticed this at the top of the page:

Good Enough? Actually, Evanescence's new video is GREAT!

Wow! It was almost like Y! Music had come alive and was taking us by the hand, directing us to the next installment of Framed. Moreover, it was a clever play on words, because the name of the song in the video is... hold on, now, you're gonna love this... "Good Enough!"

I tell you, you couldn't write this stuff. Not unless you work for Y! Music! Which we do!

Anyway, we took the bait and checked out the new vid, and it's every bit as good as promised. It's the new single from their '06 album, The Open Door, and, even though chanteuse Amy Lee is the only member of the band actually in the video, it's still great. Things start melting, then bursting into flame, while Amy plays the piano... basically, it's like humanity's collective dream of what a great Evanescence video should be. Take a look at these well-chosen stills and see if you don't agree.

1 - Few musicians feel so shamed that they actually bury the set list!

2 - Some warm cocoa and anything by Aleister Crowley. That would be the ticket!

3 - "Then the Grammy wasn't named for the popular metric unit of mass?!"

4 - "Dear diary: I'm so excited! Right after the video is over, we set sail for the New World!"

5 -"Was Ben Moody? Damn straight he was!"

6 - Mm Ra, The Mirror-Who-Is-More-Than-Man, refuses to reflect!

7 - It's hard to keep Amy's many fans off the set!

8 - Arthur Brown is still blowing everybody's mind!

9 - Evanescence is high on the Christian charts, life itself.

10 - Wow. That deal with Satan for a hit album really did cut both ways!

11 - Directorially speaking, then, this would be the money shot.

12 - With the inexplicable absence of Gummo now extended into weeks, the triumph of Yggdrasil was complete!

#7 was lame
and you know everyone was thinking the same thing with #11

That line made me laugh more than any of the captions themselves, but the money shot one was funny.
