Much luck to them, but why does there always have to be so much drama? I think the name is a bit snarky.

I did not like her at all on AI. There was a reason why her solo stuff on MCA tanked, she is just not that good of a frontwomen. I'm very skeptical on this project... And naming their band "The Fallen" does not settle well with me either. I know those guys had a hand in Evanescence and all. But it seems like they are trying to create Evanescence #2 and not trying to separate themselves as a new band with their own unique voice. "The Fallen" sounds like an Evanescence TRIBUTE band on Youtube or something.. wonder if their singer will cover BMTL again while they are on tour. LOL!

That's awesome...
But somehow I don't have a good feeling about this.

This is a direct quote from the article:
The new group's name alludes to Evanescence's 2003 major-label debut album, Fallen, which has sold 7 million copies in the USA. Moody left Evanescence shortly after Fallen, citing creative differences with singer Amy Lee. LeCompt and Gray followed in 2007. Lee continues to perform under the Evanescence name, though the group hasn't released an album since 2006. Watch, there will be creative differences again with this new group. Time to forgive and forget. |

It will certainly be interesting to see where it ends up, and I'm going to reserve judgements until I actually hear something, but I can't help but having a whole "been there, done that" feeling over this new project.
I'm glad for the guys in that they have a new project and are working together again, but this has absolutely none of the excitement and newness and "OMFG what the hell is THIS" that I experienced when I first heard of Evanescence way back when. Only time will tell I guess. |
