The fact that they're using a lot of drumming this time around makes me happy already. I love drums! One of my favorite instruments, and Evanescence are going to use different types of drums so that's gonna be so friggin epic. I'm really excited. I like electronica as long as it's used in a intelligent, not using it to much, making it annoying after a few listens...i just hope they don't over do it. I think that's my biggest worry. And the harp!!! I'm dying to hear harp in this album....I wonder if they'll infuse it with the electro parts?
Oh and I wouldn't worry about Terry. I think he's been very active in the writing process. They just focused on Will because he isn't only co-writing but co-producing the album.

Ooooohh Okkk! Thank God cuz he's a brilliant writer!

Hey guys.
Just one thing to clarify from this article. Troy won't be joining us on tour. He is a full-on writing member of Seether now and is getting a chance to really bloom there. They are currently in the studio working on a new album as well. We will miss him on the road, but I'm very happy for him. He's a very kind and talented man who deserves to shine creatively. Terry will be playing all of the guitar on our album, and when we get closer to tour we will figure out who will be the other live guitarist. Otherwise, the lineup is the same, with the addition of Will Hunt (science).
By the way, it's very hard to describe what the new album will sound like as a whole, you're just going to have to hear it to really understand! It's definitely still Ev, or I wouldn't be calling it that. Its just ever evolving. I can't wait to hear it finished. I'm having a lot of fun right now, its good to be back doing what I love.

love,
Amy

Sorry to know Troy won't join you in tour. He is amazing. But if he is doing what makes him happy then that's what counts. Terry has a lot of work but I'm sure he'll do great. He is amazing after all.
Thanks for clearing all that up.
I think all of us are dying to hear the finished work. I'm so hyper right now.

I love me some Ev and some epic beats. I mean, I LOVED the weird beats on TOD, like on SWQ for example and Lose Control. I think this is going to be a VERY sexy album. mmmmmm. <3

Wonder if this album might even touch the trip-hop genre a little.
that would be awesome, a little bit of trip hop, that depends. If Amy's influences como from Massive and Portishead's old work, maybe we'll hear some trip hop there.
And Bjork's possibly maybe is awesome, love the beats!
