The Evanescence Reference (http://evanescencereference.info/wiki/index.php?title=The_Evanescence_Reference:Communit y_Portal) is a wiki project of the on-line Evanescence fan community. It is hoped to create a single, comprehensive database of all things Evanescence for the fan community to use, maintain, and continually update as an authoritative reference.

If you are interested in learning about the arcane and esoteric history of Evanescence, definitely check out The Evanescence Reference (http://evanescencereference.info/wiki/index.php?title=The_Evanescence_Reference:Communit y_Portal), and we also need volunteers to continually keep it up to date with the relevant developments in the history of the band.

Yeah this us a great site... Especially since you can listen to all of Evanescence's songs from previous CD's.

I like this site. It's a pretty convient way to know things about Evanescence or to quickly search something if I have a question. But I don't like it's credibility; half the stuff isn't even sourced...

at least the stuff put in origionally is credible. keep in mind it's a wikki style index, and can be edited at will by the general public. althoughth there are usually wikki mods, it's easy for incorrect information to be inserted by folks who THINK they know what they are talking about.. this applies to ALL wikki sites regardlelss of topic.

Hello, I recently created a group on the Facebook network to try to help spread the word about the Out of the Shadows campaign. I saw a couple links to MySpace pages for Out of the Shadows, so I added a link to the Facebook group on the Evanescence Reference page for Out of the Shadows. This site is most definitely the best! I"ve utilized the sheet music most of all. Though that Eternal sheet music needs help...im fixing it best I can. Maybe wen I'm done I'll figure out how to load it up there for you people. You're also missing a song...I should just make an account shouldn't I...I wonder how many people will get pissed reading this...

*ahem* sorry, I love Evanescence too :D so I think it's about time we had a site for all things EV.

here's what the site I was talking about features:

*current tour videos (all by fans, for EVERY concert, regardless of venue rules about cameras. cuz Claymates are awesome like that)

*Early days

* TV Alphabetical (has EVERY single TV appearance and TV mention ever made, listed by shows in alphabetical order)

*TV Chronological (same as above, but each show appearance is listed chronologically)

*Concerts (every part of each concert ever performed before the current tour featured at the top of the page)

*Montages (fan-made montages, self-explanatory)

*Online Media (media from entertainment websites)

*Radio (every radio interview ever done)

*Special Appearances (usually videos by fans who attend the special appearances)

*Misc. Includes:
-Audio
-Messages (from the man himself, not just random fans)
-Scans (scanned interviews from magazines)
-Screencaps
-Charity work, etc..

in addition, the main page features links to donate money in order to maintain the site.

this site by the Clay fans is a HUGE archive of all things Clay. it is not a message board! therefore there are no things posted by mods, etc.. since everything is from a media source, a site like this for EV will have info STRAIGHT from the band!

So what do you all say? can we measure up to this?

P.S. I don't care if you hate Clay Aiken. I'm just talking about the site as an example!

We're proud to announce the kick-off of the Greek Evanescence Reference as a part of The Evanescence Reference we all know!

The Greek EvRef is still under construction and we'll need a long period of time until we translate all the articles to Greek!

I decided to announce it because now the greek articles are 20! Yes, it may seem too little, but it is not; translating long articles with wiki code isn't easy at all.

I'm now addressing this to Greek-speaking people: Now there's an Evanescence Reference to our native language!

For some reason I can't post in the discussion part of the EvReference, so I'm just gonna post this here.

On the page for Whisper, it says that the 2001-2002 demo uses clips from O Verona and Juliet's Requiem. That is incorrect, I have the Romeo + Juliet soundtrack, and I've made side-by-side comparisons and the clips used in the beginning of the song are O Verona and Death Scene... just wanted to point this out if anyone could change it.

If you'd like to hear for yourself, listen to "Death Scene" from approx. 1:30 - 2:00 you hear the part that is used at the start of the "Whisper" demo.

There was a thread made on Evboard referring to the grammatical inaccuracies made in Whisper.

Amy came on and answered with something along the lines of not being all that great with Latin, but being one hell of a Thai chef.

I've actually known that for a while, and a year or so ago I went on a crusade to try and tell people that it wasn't Juliet's Requiem, but hardly anyone would listen, lol :p

Hey Dhamma I have so much work on the greek part of the EvRef (plus school, final grade this year!) that I don't have the time to search for anything else :P

But I took a promise, I would do that binni, but later :D

The Italian Translation are nearly completed ;)

Do someone knows how I could complete this page? It seems like the creator doesn't want to, I tried to contact him but he is not available...
Do some one know where I could find pictures for this (http://evanescencereference.info/wiki/index.php?title=The_Open_Door_Releases)? I just found some about the Taiwan release.
If someone owns these releases please send me a pm ;)
