If you are training up it doesn't take that long. I go to London pretty regularly from Stoke, and it only takes 2ish hours. Not too expensive either considering.

But yay! I'll finally get to meet you! (Seeing as I couldn't make any of the Evboard meets, doh!).

I couldnt get tickets and there is no way I can afford the eBay prices.
Im turning up on the day to buy tickets from tout's or lovely people with spares.

If you going to be buying tickets from touts then your best bet is to try and delay it until at least an hour or two before the gig because the price will have been dropped a lot, because they just charge whatever they want to be honest.

i find with touts you tell them how much u wanna pay it cost me 53 pounds for 2 standing tickets thats inc postage depending on how much u got say you will give him 30-35 pounds for two tickets on the spot they will humm an harr about it but dont budge they usally let u off if for one ticket try n just pay no more than 22 pounds ! whatever u do DONT BUDGE and if you buy from touts dont buy from the ones that refuse to stand near the apollo entrance they can be fake its best to buy them off people who are stood right next to the doors and as a security guard to check them before u buy they usally will check to make sure the ticket you are buying is real they are pretty nice like that x

So its been confirmed Revelation Theory are going to be supporting Evanescence at the gig. Apparantly Ev liked them that much that they decided to keep them on for the rest of the tour.

I am over the moon about because I have been listening to them for a couple of days and have fallen in love with them.

As you know i'm staying in Premier travel inn... I looked on their site but couldn't find any single rooms. If you phoned up you might get offered a double room, you can't do that online... I didn't check doubles, so there might not be any of those, but there are like 3 of the hotels all within the area... all said none available but ring the number on their site and ask.

I havent stayed in a Travelodge before tbh but I have heard the rooms are good for the price. Travel Inn is a fab place to stay at but I dont know the price difference between Travelodge and Travel Inn it just depends on what you are willing to spend. :)

No doubt they will check bags they do at every venue it just depends how strict they are. I havent been to the Apollo before tbh so couldnt answer your question but try keep your bag contents as minimal as possble to be safe. ;)

Yeah they do at every venue just at most places they just feel around to see if you have any bottles and stuff, it only takes a few seconds, just make sure you don't have any bottles, food or anything to speed it up.

if taking a cam put it in your pocket i really dont see them checking many people like i said before ive been twice this yr and if you see a big bald guy on the door lol its my borhter and he even said they usally only check if you have a lrage group and if you have a large bag or they suspect anything dodgy but he did say though that half the time they really dont bother at all its also depending on what kinda band is playing!

yeh every venue checks bags. if they dont then they really should. but yeh just make sure you dont have anything sharp (except a sharpie ofcourse:P) no aerosols, no glass. they might have more guidlines on the website.

I googled about the Manchester Apollo and several threads say you're not even allowed to run to the front of the stage, you're told to go to the back if you do???! Not that I would run but that seems a trifle odd to me...:confused:

well when we were at wembley they kept telling us to stop running but we still ran. i dont think they could send you to the back. if everyone's running it would be a bit pointless. i see why they tell people not to run just incase someone falls down, but the rules in a pit of any kind, even if the band hasn't started is that if anyone falls you pick them up.

The venue is really close to Picadilly its a big walk but if you can get on a bus it should be fine.
Really close... but a big walk... how close and how big a walk?! I am staying in Portland St which is near the Coach station (and close to the train station)... It's supposingly quarter of a mile to the venue from it. Probably walk it, but a taxi might look appealing if the weather isn't too chipper.

EDIT: I was asking a friend today about getting to the venue. He says it's a 15 minute-ish walk and the route I figured out is right, so if you're not sure about getting there check out the map I posted on the previous page. Also he says it can be a dodgy area after dark, so don't walk it alone, but that's common sense for any part of any city these days. See y'all there.

As i wrote in the London Thread a minute ago am i new here and well, spontaneously will fly to London next Monday.. from there travel further to Manchester on Tuesday to see the last show from Evanescence + Revelation Theory.

What i would like to know.. how would i get from the Train Station e.g. to the venue? Is there still a chance to get a ticket at the Apollo itself if i should bid successfully on one @ Ebay [UK] through people who need to get rid of theirs a.s.o.? Are Photo and Digital-Cameras allowed inside? Where can i see a picture of the Apollo? [I so far could not find out if there are only standing 'places' inside of if you can sit as well etc.]

Hope once more that i didn't ask too much! :o/ If so, sorry, but i've never been to Manchester before!

To answer your questions -

1. To get from the train station to the venue you could either walk or it would probably be easier to get a taxi from the station, just follow the signs to the 'taxi rank' at Piccadilly.

2. No you will not be able to get a ticket at the Apollo itself, the gig is totally sold out so none will be on sale on the door. I suggest you bid on a ticket on ebay ASAP otherwise you won't be able to get into the gig.

3. I have been to the Apollo before and last time they had no problems with people taking cameras inside, but it just depends on the bands wishes but I would expect it would be okay.

4. If you search Manchester Apollo on google you should find images of the venue and the seating plans. The Evanescence gig will be standing on the bottom floor and seats on the balcony.

i took my camera into get fixed today and im not going to get it back for a month :( no fair. im gonna get a throw away one. but i did see a camera (not digital) for £25 in argos. i need to check the funds but i might be able to get it, ive been doing some extra hours at work and ive just sold my spare ticket for this gig.

just a tip snowwhitequeenx, you really should stop double posting. i dont mean to mini-mod but its better i give you a friendly hint rather than the mods telling you :)

I'm trying to get my dad to see if he can lend one of someone he knows because my mom dropped our digi-cam on holiday and it messed it up so when you turn it on, it'll say it's out of battery and turn back off, when it isn't so if that happens you've gotta fiddle with the batterys and it's basically just abit messed up!

the lens wont come out when i turn it on. i can still view the pics i've already taken just can't take any more pics. "zoom error" keeps flashing up. but last night i turned it on to check it and it randomly worked fine. then i turned it off and turned it on again and it was broken again!:mad: i think it#s messing with me. technology officially hates me!

i think this interview was done before the whole tour started so we've already seen amy's stage outfits. i think its safe to say it is very feminine. the big pink poofy skirt? haha!
