Yeah she is amazing with those strings. That and the vocal arrangements are my favorite parts of their songs and she does both of them, so0o0o = <333. I love the piano the most. It really captures the essence of a dreamy fairytale.

well....karaoke may be pro recorded...and the instrumental may be made by us...or actually ev, like everybodys fool.

generally karaoke is someone else playing background music as close to ev as possible.

Instrumentals are just the song without any vocals (backing or lead), whereas karaoke is the song without the lead vocals, but the backing vocals are still there. Some karaoke can even be with the lead vocals lowered so as to allow the karaoke singer to follow along easier.

Neither karaoke nor instrumentals have to be professionally made, but normally karaoke is done by professionals OTHER than the band. Instrumentals are normally released by the band itself, but, for the sake of this thread, by us, as well (as SweedishMeatballs had said). :)

Anyway, I've been working on a midi version of Missing. It's kinda my own take on the song - I have piano added to it (NOT THE PIANO THAT AMY PLAYS LIVE), I thought it would sound pretty. I tried to add the bells that are in the verses, but it didn't turn out so well, so I just flat out removed them.

:) good. What you have to do is right-click on the player and select properties. Copy the URL at the bottom of the window and paste it to the address bar, and you should be able to download it. Also, you should sign up for esnips (don't worry it's free... and this is not and advertisement in case u r wondering :) and maybe you'll be able to download without the above process).

Thanks, but like I said, there's major room for improvement. The guitar's way too loud most of the time (can't seem to fix it). The bass is all screwy (I couldn't find the right instrument) and the solo's all messed up - once again, couldn't find a good instrument. It was, after all, my first time using FL Studio!! haha

I'll try tweaking it a bit, but don't expect much more. lol

Ummm...what are you talking about? The one I made that was posted on here was just a midi, meaning that the instruments don't sound real at all. It wasn't ripped from anywhere. I made it myself, unless there's some other version that I don't know about. I didn't pan the instruments, because I felt no need to. I'm sure I could just use the program I have now to fix the panning and then record it using real-sounding instruments - not real ones!

And to jack_lanterna:
Sounds pretty good so far. The piano sounds a bit too soft, though. LOVE the strings!! :§biggrin:

that's not possible, is it?...The recording uses a 7.string guitar, and the arrangement was adapted for 6 string...but i don't think it's in a different key..it won't sound good..

I have the Open Door sheets, and those are the chords that are played (although it says Cb instead of Bm - it's the same thing). After the bridge it isn't very complicated, actually. I have the transcription here if you'd like to see it:

Also, for the different key signatures - the guitar is only transposed a half step down. If you play those chords (Eb, Bm, etc.) on the guitar, they'll sound exactly like they're supposed to be ONLY if the guitar is tuned town. They're not in different keys at all. You're right, if they were, it would sound weird.

Yeah, well, beggars can't be choosers (even though you're not the one to ask for it). I don't think anyone has the right to complain when someone actually took the time to either: a) make the instrumentals and upload them for everyone to download, or b) search for others' versions and refer them to you.

Calm down, man! Goodness! I can't even count the number of times you've asked this! I mean, I know you'd like to have a complete instrumental to the song, but everyone has done their best so as to meet your expectations as of yet. We don't need someone down our throat, hounding us to finish the instrumentals. They'll get done on the artist's own free time - not everyone has the time to sit down at the computer hours on end, slaving away at just adding strings to a single song! There are a ton of other things at are in the process of being made, also. So, please be patient and appreciate what is already available to you.

That's not really how things get done here. Here you post links to instrumentals that were either found online or made by someone else to the benefit of other Evthreaders. I guess you could trade files, but I think that that is a tad bit selfish, seeing as how the people who do not have the certain songs you're looking for won't gain from anything. If you want an instrumental to a song, either search this thread for the link (if the link is invalid, simply ask for someone to re-upload the song) or ask here for someone to make it and wait patiently for a response. Also, if you really do have an instrumenal version to My Immortal, someone on here had just recently asked for it and it would be very generous for you to upload it and post the link to it here.

And the people making these mixes are not bound to people's command. They do what they want when they want - they have lives of their own to be getting on with.

Please don't take offense to this, Silverfriends, but I think that we're actually better off creating a Lacrymosa instrumental from scratch instead of using midi files. The file you posted does give you somewhat of a feel for the musical structure, I'd rather have something that sounds a more authentic and that was played by a human. I can work on the strings and piano as well as editing in the choir if anyone wants to do the guitars...

Yes I did. I myself am not a Madonna fan (the only songs I somewhat like are Frozen and Live To Tell) but my cousin is a HUGE fanatic who has a really crappy computer.

So, now I want Lacrymosa and Even In Death Instrumentals. I want to record these songs with my voice and jack_lanterna works, like Lies and Understanding. And I want to record russian version of Lacrymosa and EID. Help me please... :)

No offence but you used to do the same (meaning you kept posting request after request like people had loads of free time on their hands) and now you're telling other people to be patient. I just find it a bit odd.

Yeah, I know. It blows...totally...But whatever. C'est la vie, I always say.

And to FlorEv:
As of now, there are no instrumentals to Even In Death; there have been numerous requests for this song, but nothing's shown up as of yet. I'm sure there's someone who's working on it; I was in the process of making one, but look how far that got me...;) But keep an eye out for it. While you're at it, why not listen to some others? There's a number of good instrumentals (either official, professionally-made, or made by us in the forum) posted a couple of pages back. If they're unavailable, I'm sure someone would be willing to re-upload them for you.
