I absolutely love to blast Evanescence songs while I'm driving. I get such a rush when I'm at a complete stop and have Haunted or The Only One blasting so loud, I know the people next to me can hear it. I'm a little weird, but I like to play Lacrymosa when I'm out at night... I think it freaks people out lol.

Me and my friend encourage drivers listen to evanescence to crank it up. A car will drive past listening to it, and we're just shouting "turn it up" they never do though :(

Well, CMWYS suddenly got played in the radio and I just started rocking out inside the car. My sister's boyfriend, who was driving, pointed out the car next to ours. What I saw was a lady looking at me rather strangely, then she suddenly averted her eyes. I was like: "Cmon, look back at me so I can give you the rock sign!" but sadly, she didn't... hehe

Can't drive yet... but I will soon. Already got my learner's license, so once I get my P License I'd be blaring all the Evanescence CDs that I can find in the dashboard =D

Usually I don't think they are giving me a weird look because of the fact that evanescence is blaring, but that I'm headbanging or dancing in the car, lol, and THAT is what is making them give me concerned and/or frightened looks.

I blared out some ev music in my car for the first time the other day. (Lacrymosa) The sun was out and it was a nice day, so I thought why not! I think everyone was more amused at my facial expressions when singing rather than the actual music :p

Im learning to drive at the moment, But not allowed any music. My car has a radio, need to get a CD player or something to connect to my Creative Zen once I've passed my test.

Then, i'll put Evanescence on.

I dont usually blast music unless im on a highway or something. I tend to avoid drawing attention to myself when I drive. But sometimes Ill turn the volume up just to piss off the people who listen to rap with the bass all the way on. heh

Wow, I can't believe somebody didn't think of this thread earlier! I drive a Ford Contour and it has crappy sound insulation, so when I play Ev, I could hear it from in my house when I'm getting something. I actually blew out TWO of my speakers listening to them (prolly cuz I got an Xplod CD player, but w/e) . But people DO give me wierd looks, (i.e. ,  , oh yeah, and sometimes  )

*note to self: replace the two broken speakers...*

Well being 50 I have had allot of strange looks to say the least. From the youngbloods out there they seem to be curious when I exit the car after having EV playing. I've had many say I wish my dad was into that. Others have asked how I got into EV, I tell them blame my son Derek. He took me to a EV concert last year and I was instantly hooked. To him I say thank you!!!!

As for the old farts they are shocked and look at me as if to say I should be committed to a insane asylum. For those I jack it up even louder and tell them they do not know what they are missing. But you would be surprised how many old time rockers know the music or song I'm playing and say they have their cd or have seen them live!

I believe you are only as old as you feel and listening to EV's music makes me feel young. Which proves what I have been saying for sometime that this band has what it takes to stay together and make a lasting impression on the rock scene for years to come.

Ever since TOD was released, Evanescence has been pretty much the ONLY thing I play while driving, and yes I blast it! I blast not only TOD, but Fallen still, as well as a burned CD with some of the Origin/EP/cover stuff on it. Earlier this week I bought Chevelle's new CD, so now I'm blasting that also. I really like Chevelle, but I didn't know much of their stuff until I saw them at the Ev concert.

I don't play many of my old CDs (other artists) at all anymore. I got sick of them. You'd think I'd be sick of Ev by now as much as I play those CDs, but I'm not at all.

Well, I can't drive but whenever my mom is driving me to school or whatever, I always turn Ev up REAL loud. People on the streets usually give quick glances like they're looking down on me or something while we drive by them. But I just look back at them and they turn their heads away. Other people in cars don't usually do the same, unless it's a red light and they're looking everywhere.

ETA: I live in a real quiet neighbourhood where you can hear everything and anything, even when it's just someone jingling their keys you can hear them inside the house with your window closed. So, whenever I open the car door and I have Ev blaring, people always look out their windows. lol

when i first got the album, we were in greece and if i remember right, my sister was sick. so we drove to the doctor and it's like 11 pm and we get there. it's pitch dark, very creepy. there are like 5 cars next to ours. when we parked everybody went inside but i stayed in the car to listen to Ev.
anyway, they were really taking their time and this was like the first time i ever heard the album so i wanted to listen to each song even if i didn't like it.
when Weight Of The World came on i did some serious ROCKIN!!! :D then this guy cam out and stared at me for like 5 minutes, just standing there like 'WTF?'
so then the rest of the songs pass and guess which one comes on?

SNOW WHITE QUEEN

so i'm sitting there and it's now like 2 months after i've watched The Grudge 2 also, and so picture it: me sitting in a car after being severely damaged by that movie, alone in the pitch dark.

i got so creeped out cos then this freaking cat jumped onto the car out of nowhere! God it was scary!

I remember when my dad was driving in Reading to get to the Ev concert, and I stuck my head out the window (we were blasting The Only One); and I heard My Immortal here, Weight of The World there, Cloud Nine somewhere...it was hilarious!

Especially when I'm playing "Crutch" by Rabbit Junk, they say f*ck pretty much every other word.

When I get a driving card I will surely do that too, and sing along with the songs while driving. It won't take even a year before I will be allowed to drive a card, if I just have money.

I would give a strange look for anyone who listens to EV! :D

Try blasting Farther Away, especially the Anywhere but Home version at a stoplight. Peoples' faces are pricesless when they hear "A THIEF, A WHORE, AND A LIAR!" They're dumbfounded and I laugh. It works well if you have good speakers since that CD is really heavy on bass.

My friend didn't have any good music in her car, apart from a My Immortal single, so I put it on and she cranked the song up loud. It felt odd speeding down the road with a touchy sad song playing.

Actually, no I don't get weird looks when I'm blasting any music in my car. I live in an area where pretty much every other car is blasting music (it sucks when you're trying to sleep).

However, I get funny looks now because my car stereo broke, and I use my Mp3 player while I'm driving. There I am, singing at the top of my lungs, but I'm the only one that can hear the music lol. I like to make funny faces at people who stare at me. :p

Fortunatley I don't do anything *too* embarassing while blasting music in my car, but let me tell you guys something:

Going Under is the best song to play while driving

As soon as I put my keys into the ignition ("Now I will tell you what I've done for you...") It matches my actions hahaha. When I'm on the highway, the chorus sounds...better. Perhaps its just the thrill of driving but I always feel really cool when a red light comes and that dramatic break comes before the chorus, "I'm dying again..." Then green light comes, the chorus.

Yeah I'm weird.

When I'm driving, I'm usually blaring WOTW, CMWYS, BMTL, and alot more! Some ppl will look at me and give me the, Your Crazy look, or some ppl will cheer!!! But usually ppl love the songs I play! If I'm at a red light, ppl will dance to it, or head bang to it! Kind of weired sometimes!;) :D

No but I blast it with my feet up and the windows down in the parking lot waiting for my mom to get out of the grocery store. People walking by give me the strangest looks! Me and my friend K were sitting in the car like that listening to The Only One and singing (badly) at the top of our lungs, and every time someone would look at us like we were really weirding them out, we would just crack up laughing we must have seemed DRUNK or something! but generally my mom doesn't like listening to ev in the car so....:(

Hmm, I do get people to turn and look at me but not because it is Evanescence but simply because I blare it so loud and am one of those people who bob their heads-sing along-tap along with the beat. My brother tells me he always knows when I'm on my way back home because he can hear my music blaring all the way down the street coming into the driveway, haha.
As far as my friends go, I've gotten pretty good responses from playing EV in my car. I had one friend who was bobbing his head along to Whisper (and he asked me if that was Evanescence). I had another friend who said she loved Amy's voice. I had another friend who really liked Thoughtless so we were both singing along very loudly and bobbing our heads to it. EV music=good times. :p

I got a strange look from a dog walker when i was playing sweet sacrifice in my car but that may have been due to the fact i was having a massive rock out, head bang moment as i drove past him...

I was also playing ev really loud with a bunch of my friends in the car once and when one of my friends said 'what's this depressing ****' i stopped the car there and then and made him get out!

the speakers were very loud and then I sang:

and they covered they ears:D

... hehehehe... I listen to the movie soundtracks in the car... That's what I get funny looks for... Evanescence never really draws much attention... But when I'm jammin' with Nicole Kidman in the Moulin Rouge, that's another story.... Can't a guy sing along with prostitute-love songs? ... Although I did play Like You with the windows open really loud, we were on the highway so everything else was just as loud, and some woman beside be snarled.

Hell yeah. Half the time I drive I'm listening to Ev (literally). And I always blast it, so loud in fact that people can hear it (so i've been told, or more like yelled at) seven cars back. :D But i'm proud, and I don't care. And if anyone blurts out any rude comments about Ev or their music, I just turn it up even louder...

It is very fun to listen to loud in front of strangers in public locations. The best is Disney busses next to the little kids' mothers... Haha I got the death glare from that a lot. I did that on a subway in NYC, but no one really cared as much, because there are usually better things to worry about on the subway. Once I can drive I'll blare Ev very loud, whenever I'm going somewhere, so people look at me funny.

my mom hates listening to Ev so when she's in a store or something I plug in my iPod and blast Lithium,Lies,Bleed,Bring Me To Life whatever im listeing to at the time ^^

This one time we were at a gas station and as soon as my mom left I cranked one lithium and it was so loud every person at the station was totally stairing at me and i was like ya man rock on dudes ^^ and this one guy screamed TURN IT UP MORE and I was kinda shocked because he's like 45 years old =D
