Does anyone have any idea what ticket prices will be? I don't know if I'll have enough to go to a concert.

Thanks! :)

I'm really excited (first post by the way!) I'm going to this concert after I go to school for a few hours, and I'm so stoked. When Wednesday came I was so freakin' happy. Not only is this my first concert, it's by my favorite band. Gah! I just can't curb my happiness.

Is anyone on here going who's dad works in a gas station? I know that's so random, but we drove through Tennessee last Thursday/Friday and stopped at a gas station around... 2am or something ridiculous like that, and the guy was an Ev fan and planned on going... I was so excited! We talked for like half an hour! Well anyway, you're all hella lucky, have fun! :)

I went to the concert last nite in Louisville KY and it was great, and I was so amazed on how many couples took there kids with them to see you. I wanted to take my 8 year old but being her first concert I was not sure how it would be and if it would be safe for her. I AM GLAD TO SAY that it would be a wonderful place to rock with my daughter and listen to good music in a safe area, so that is why i am going to take her to the Ohio concert and the cool part is that we both (my daugther and I) make our own outfits too so this will so rock and be a life time thing, plus she broke her arm last nite, while i was at the concert LOL kids will be kids.

Thanks Evanescence I had a wonderful time and will be back, for more

AHHHHH!!! The show was AWESOME.
And.......... I got to meet Amy, Terry, and Tim after the show!!! :D I also got an Amy hug! :D

I got several pics on my camera phone (will upload later, I promise!), but the security people told me when I went in I couldn't take my digital camera even though it’s small (they let people in before me with cameras, but said I had “just missed it” and that “they changed the rules, no cameras allowed from now on”). Grrrr.

Anywho….
:::squeals like a little girl:::

I will be back with more details later about my conversations with them & about the show in general of course. I also met one of the guitar players from Chevelle - I think his name is Dean? He was pretty cool & I'll say more about him later also. I'm at work right now so I can't be on here too much.

Here's one pic for a teaser... I'm at work right now so I don't have time to upload them ALL right now (there are close to 20).

http://i11.tinypic.com/2d7tstv.jpg ZOMG (fangirl talk) she was less than 10ft away from me in this pic!!! (And I got to meet her after as I said, but it was cool to be not that far from her during the show).

Not bad for a camera phone, eh? :D

I was at the M&G yesterday, too. The girl with the nose piercing as your adorable daughter pointed out. We saw Amy, Tim and Terry (Beth and Richie) after the show.. have LOTS of stories and quite a few photos.

COULD THEY BE ANY SWEETER?

I didn't even know about this place until Amy directed me here at her bus telling me they were going to post up photos of them playing with the stuff I gave them (specifically the Play Doh, which Terry said they made "chicken legs & turkey legs" with).

Amy was wearing the shirt I gave her when she got off the bus at 1:30 am. I was FLOORED and I was like..."She really is the nicest woman..." I'm so happy I had the moments, but I'm even happier that SHE is happy. She deserves it.

Sadly, I didn't get to meet the band because I had to get back on the road to go home, but I was on the floor just a few people away from Amy! Oh my Goddess the concert was amazing! I must go again if I get the chance. I have so many pictures and video that I record on my phone. I can't seem to get my pictures up here, but I have some good ones.

Once again I have to say that the show was freakin' amazing! One problem I had was after the show, the woman that sold the shirts, she was really rude. I didn't like her.

YEP! That's me. The only guy I remember winning the M&G was Shawn, unless your friend's husband won a radio one or something?

We got some awesome cute pictures...and had so much fun with all the band. When I got my hug from Amy at 1:30 am and she was in the shirt I gave her I was like  But all I could think of was "Amy your boobs are smooshing my boobs." I'm glad I didn't say it out loud, though. Haha.

Yeah that was SO funny!!! She just kind of made this face (it was totally playful, though)

I'm sorry you didn't get to see her when they FINALLY came out about 1:30. My partner was passing out there too....

And yes to the other wonderful person who replied, I am sadly obsessed with ABH too much. The backstage stuff in on my PSP to make me smile when the day feels crappy.

Heya, new guy here, just registered. You're so lucky you got to meet her. I would've had a heartattack had I been near her. I was on the floor, a good distance back.. didn't get many good shots. I did get one shot from my phone that I loved, her playing "Lithium" while "snow" falls.

//edit: And for those with Verizon, there's a little trick to get pictures on your phone. If you send an email to "yourphonenumberhere@vzwpix.com", replacing yourphonenumberhere with your actual cell phone number of course, and attach a picture, it'll pop up on your phone and you can use it as a background. I use the red screaming wallpaper (this one (http://img441.imageshack.us/img441/586/amy20lee20of20evanescenei8.jpg)) as my background for the front of my phone, and the picture above as my normal background.

They're required to play it. Some kinda contract or something. Amy hates it though.

That is so funny that you said that because I know we kind of looked at each other a time or two like "GOD SHUT UP" when some really truly off key singers were almost screaming in our ears. But I guess at least they were having a great time and I only got knocked into twice really badly.

Hey are you guys going to Atlanta for sure for the Family Values thing? I'm thinking we're still gonna do St. Louis because even though the drive SUCKS they have really inexpensive hotels and fun things to do.

haha that is too funny, cuz i was thinking the same thing, like ummm SHUT UP and let AMY SING haha, but true they were just enjoying themselves, I screamed the entire night as well as my friend and daughter we came home with no voice lol, a few times you could see Amy look at the band in awe at our constant screams for them she even stopped during MI and said Thank You, so I take that as a compliment she enjoyed our screams it shows her exactly how much the fans are devoted to them and love their shows, this was my first EV concert. I have seen them on the ABH and loved it, but WOW in person live and in the front row all night that was amazing, she is a great entertainer/performer, and her vocals are even more powerful live....it was the best night of my life besides the night my daughter was born lol....

I think I'm going to go to the Atlanta concert, but if I have college orientation, I won't be able to go. I'm looking at either the Atlanta or Houston concerts. If it's Houston it's easier for me because my aunt lives there and she'll be able to get me good tickets and I'll have a place to stay.

Anyway, I have to admit I was singing too, perhaps a bit too loud at times. This was my first Evanescence concert and I was so excited, I probably went a little overboard with the screaming because my throat was hurting so bad the next day.

I didn't really have a problem with people singing over her (umm when I wasn't singing), because I could hear Amy louder than the folks around me. But I like I said earlier, I was really close to the stage. I think that the drummer from Finger Eleven gave me heart arrhythmias. That was cool though.

I had someone next to me that was drunk out of his mind and flailing about, almost striking my girlfriend several times. Had he done so, it wouldn't have been a pretty situation. People also somehow managed to smuggle in cigarettes and pot.. security shut them down quickly for the most part.. except when I moved towards the middle of the crowd when some skinny chick was smoking and holding it to where the smoke was blowing right in my face.. nasty. No offense to smokers out there, but I was there for Evanescence, not cigarette smoke.

There's five videos or so posted on YouTube, just search for "Evanescence Nashville".

Thankfully she only new a few of the *old* songs and not many of the new, or else I would've barely heard Amy. LOL!

Yeah for the most part people were pretty well behaved, but there are always gonna be a few wackos who think they can smack people around (intentionally or otherwise). Granted, we weren't at an Opera show where it has to be prim and proper, but people shouldn't act like frickin' Wildabeasts.

Yeah, it was nothing too bad. The guy was just drunk out of his mind though. This bigger woman came up to him (and I mean no offense by saying 'bigger' woman, it's just a descriptive word, i'm not trying to be rude. He was like.. 5'8 and 150lbs.. she was like 5'4 and 200+) right as My Immortal started and he buried his head on her neck and I thought that maybe he had a personal attachment to the song or something. I took a closer look.. and crying wasn't exactly what he was doing to her neck/upper chest area. I think there's a time and a place for that type of behavior. I hated it though, I missed like four songs that she sang because I kept watching out for this retard flailing about. But overall, a fantastic show, now my favorite show that I've been to (previously held by the Halloween Night 2005 show of Nine Inch Nails.. which was amazing too). It was my GF's first REAL concert experience (sitting on a hill @ Starwood really doesn't count), and despite having to hose me down and wipe the drool from my mouth when Amy came out, I think she enjoyed it too.

Actually, the only thing that really and truly annoyed me were the 14/15 year old girls standing behind us. The "ohmigawd" type of girls. That was awful, but expected. What was up with the moms dressing up their daughters? Like.. six or seven year old daughters decked out in goth clothes and eyeliner and makeup and everything.. that was kinda disturbing.

I saw tons of people recording it via cell phone or digital camera. I'd love to see/hear the whole thing again, but the quality would be awful considering the amount of bass pumping through the place.

When they come through again, i'm definately going, closest seats I can get, and i'll wait hours outside and hope that Amy passes by or something. I know some people have luck doing that. I'd be embarassed though, i'd be too starstruck to talk.

It pains to know that she went to school for a whole semester just up the road and I never knew her there.. Gahhh.

Hahha. I can't sing for crap either and I'm sure I was singing along, but I tried to shut up when I realized people were video taping. The naughty minxes...

I think St. Louis is only about 30 - an hour farther than Atlanta. And yup, we live in Nashville. If we can go to both we will, but it won't be the same as going to an actual Ev show. Of course with how little they hit out here...if we don't, we won't see our band until...who knows when?!

Gahhh.LOL @ wiping the drool off of you. Yes I agree what was with all the really weird Mom-daughter combos? Especially a few of the moms that dressed like they were 16 (a slutty 16) and their daughters were dressed the same... eww.

I would love for them to come back to Nashville, but it probably won't happen until next album from what Terry implied. I am definitely going to see them in Atlanta at Family Values.

I thought I would get super nervous when I met them too, but I didn't (just a little when I first saw them step off the bus). I thought ahead of time for quite awhile about what I'd say to them, because I wanted to say something at least a little less cliche. I think I did a decent job of not boring them to tears with another "OMG you're like so totally awesome, holy crap!" kind athing. Haha.

Of course with how little they hit out here...if we don't, we won't see our band until...who knows when?!Yep no kidding. I absolutely must see them again before their next album - that's just too long. :D Ev was incredible!!! I have not been to a TON of concerts - probably around 10 my whole life (though I'm only 24 so I have tons more time haha), but this was by far the best all-around concert I've been too. Even the opening acts were suprisingly good & I'm really getting into Chevelle now too.

One of the downsides of living in TN is that it isn't a premium stop for bands like Evanescence. They mostly just stop through on their way to Atlanta, etc. So when I heard that Evanescence was in Nashville, I dropped everything to go. And that was the Best concert I've ever been to. Fans in TN are not nearly as "hyper" or into going nuts at concerts as in other states, but it was a lot more energetic than concerts in Chattanooga.
I still can't understand how people can by seats for rock concerts. I think it should be a rule that only genadm. is allowed.
Anyways, if anyone has any videos of the concert other than what's on youtube, I would greatly appreciate them. I didn't even take my cell phone in. . . .:(

^^Same here. Although, we had seats about 10 rows away from the floor. GREAT view. My feet though were killing me after Chevelle (I seriously hated standing on that part, I was in heels so wanted to save my feet for standing during Evanescence, not Chevelle) so I don't think I would have survived genadm. XD

They were so awesome though! She has such an amazing voice. Can't wait to see them again one day...

And okay, I'm bumping an old thread. XD Several days after the fact, but I don't get a chance to come on evthreads too often soo...

Yah. Awesome concert. And thanks, Scorch, I didn't know there were vids on youtube. I tried searching once a day or two ago and didn't get anything. Thankya!

Definitely I can't figure out why people would want to be in the stands unless they're only sorta-fans. But I think seats cost more sometimes than GA floor.

~FI~Oh, hun, you wore HIGH HEALS? Oh dear. Your feet must have been DYING. I saw some girls in flip-flops too and surely their feet got stepped on plenty of times. OUCH.

Haha, I know. sad part is they're actually my most comfortable shoes--still, not comfortable enough by far to stand in for 2 hours. XD At least they were wedges. :-/
Flipflops? God. In genadm that would be painful. Better in the stands but still, poor toes! I hate flipflops on most counts anyway. XD
Yah, I think tennis shoes might have been the best choice...but the least fashionable. They just wouldn't quite go...

Did you happen to see some of the people working there at the GEC (or, excuse me, Nashville Arena XD)? We walked by this one guard, a sort of older man, white hair, bald on top, going both in and out who just stood there, looking totally aghast. We could just hear his inner-monologue, "God, kids these days...!"
He wouldn't be saying that if he actually heard Evanescence! My inner-monologue, "God, old people these days! Taking everything at face value!"
Still, got a good laugh out of it.

What a great experience. *happy sigh*

I wore boots like the pair that Amy had on, but my feet were DYING during Chevelle, but Evanescence was so good, that I forgot all about it. Now when I left the concert, my feet were red at the bottom, that's how much my feet were in pain. Next time I think I will just wear my Chucks.

^^that's how I felt too. I only noticed my feet were hurting during Chevelle and on the short breaks between songs during Ev. XD They were utterly captivating! (I mean, evanescence, not my feet...or chevelle or my shoes)
I nearly got blisters. I should have learned by now but nooo...
I feel for you. :(

I didn't go to this concert, but I had to say something here...you had that problem with your boots too? I have the same pair, and by the end of Chevelle's set I felt like I was standing on bloody stumps. How does Amy do it?

How does Amy do it?I guess maybe her boots are well broken-in, and when you're used to being on your feet that much it's not that big of a deal. I used to be on my feet all the time at my old job, but now that I sit all day at work, standing for that long at the concert (not to mention the time before & after - total of 8 hours) really hurt my ankles/feet/legs.

Yeah we actually found some Chevelle and new Finger 11 stuff after the show. I guess it's true that opening acts do get a lot of support/new fans that way. I like Finger 11 better, but I think I'm the only one in the house with that view. (Better than Chevelle, of COURSE NOT better than Ev.)

I liked Finger 11 also, but I was a little put-off by how one of the guitar players was sweating buckets everywhere & the lead singer said he was "sick as a dog"... but he seemed kinda drugged up to me (perhaps not, but he was pretty fidgety and moved oddly as he sang).

I'm glad I'm not the only one who thought that about the singer of Finger Eleven. Now the guitarist with the beard and the long hair, I was worried that all his oceans of sweat would fly off the stage into the crowd and that would have been seriously gross.

I plan to look for some Finger Eleven songs because I liked what they played, now no offense to the Chevelle fans, but I really was bored during their show. I didn't like their songs, but the overall show was great in my opinion. Finger Eleven and Evanescence (of course!) were my favorite parts.

The show was amazing! I was a little sad that we weren't allowed to take any pictures. I wonder what the big deal was? It kinda sucked to wait outside, in the rain...for 8 and 1/2 hours and run like hell to make it all the way to the front of the floor and then not be able to take pictures. I'm not going to complain though...I'm sure they have their reasons...but it did make me a little sad :( Anyways...it was an incredible show. Amy sang every song perfect and the guys did a great job too. Terry throwing the rock sign back at my friend and I made our night lol. It was a great show and I wish I could see them again before they are done touring!

PS
I'm so jealous of everyone that met them after the show. My friend and I were going to wait but the venue was so huge...we got all turned around and gave up :( I'm happy for everyone who did see them though! :)

I really loved this show. My ma came with me :D Did anyone hear a retarded kid yell "AMY I LOVE YOU!!" really loud during good enough? -- that was me :D I was SO close to her that when she headbanged during a part of "CMWYS" sweat hit me in the face from her hair.

I almost died.
