FINALLY!! WOOO HOO!!! I want to go SOO bad, but so far my dad's kinda against the whole thing. So far, the cheapest tickets I've found are 125 dollars. I want to go so bad, and the way it's going I'll have to pay for this thing by myself. But it's DEFINITELY worth it! I've never seen Ev live before and my dad promised me if they ever came to KY he'd take me. I hope he sticks to his promise!

Yeah I know it's very expensive. I've never been to louisville except to KY kingdom, so I wouldn't know. But those seats are floor, and there could always be cheaper ones closer to march hopefully.

Well, a friend of mine said they should only be around 30 at the most, and be sure to get them like the day they go on sale from Ticketmaster, because they'll sell fast. I'm not sure, though, really.

Alright.. So I had a friend try to explain to me what the Ticketmaster website was telling me, and I got this:

Me (5:07:31 PM): You've been to a lot of concerts, right?
Person (5:07:50 PM): yes
Me (5:07:47 PM): Can I ask you a couple of retarded questions?
Person (5:08:01 PM): yes
Me (5:07:52 PM): Okay
Me (5:08:19 PM): Does that mean it's first come first serve for where you are at the concert?
Person (5:08:35 PM): yes
Me (5:08:24 PM): Or can you explain?
Me (5:08:28 PM): Because my dad is dumb
Person (5:09:06 PM): genereal admission usually means there are tons of seat up in the back but most people will be in the pit
Me (5:09:05 PM): So that's good?
Me (5:09:07 PM): Better?
Person (5:09:19 PM): yeah
Person (5:09:23 PM): just get there early
Person (5:09:28 PM): so you can be up front
Person (5:09:56 PM): make your way up to the front if there are a lot of people
Person (5:10:05 PM): and dont accept any position trading offers
Me (5:10:05 PM): k I'M SO PSYCHED lol sorry. Thank you much. XD

Can somebody tell me if this was explained.. correctly? Sorry if I seem pretty dumb, I've just never been to a concert before, and I'm trying to get everything figured out mega early so I'm not oblivious at the last minute.

Also, how early would be early?

Onwynn
01-22-2007, 04:54 PM
I'm going to leave right after school hopefully, i'm guessing that's early enough.

Onwynn, you're not too far from me! I work in London and I go through Berea (going to Lex) at least once a week.

*Anyhow* I am going to try and go to this concert in Louisville. It depends on ticket prices. I saw them in October in Chicago, so this will be my 2nd Evanescence concert.

I'll be going along with one of my friends. We live around Ashland so it takes us quite a bit longer (4 hours one person said but I don't think it's quite that) to get there. So I expect we'll have to be sitting in the back. Hopefully there'll still be room on the ground though. It'll be our first BIG concert we've been to so it is greatly looked forward to as well.

I'm not far away from you guys - Nashville, TN area here. I'm going to the Nashville concert of course, which is the night after the Louisville one. I would go to both of them if they weren't so close together in time. If the KY concert was like a week before or after I'd probably go to that one too just to see them twice (I've never seen Ev in concert before). All the other concerts are much farther away from me.

My wife got me tickets for my birthday, which is March 27th. First Evanescence concert on my birthday, does it get any better?

Some people were talking earlier about tickets being over $100. Do not fall for that ****. People buy tickets and then resell them for way more than they should be. All tickets for this show are like $40. All the seats are general admission. With that being said how early do people show up? I'm really thinking about being there at 2:00.

The reason they were 100 dollars is probably because they weren't on sale then. Ha, if they were THAT much I'd definitely be out of luck.

On my ticket it says Evanescence 7:30pm and I saw on a website that Finger Eleven and Chevelle are going to be on at 8:00pm. So does that mean Ev only has a half hour to play? Are finger eleven and chevelle going on before or after Ev?

I'm not sure, but maybe they don't let you in until 7:30. Meaning the concert doesn't start until 8, opening with Finger Eleven and Chevelle. I really can't see Evanescence playing first, that doesn't make any sense and for only a half and hour. I think not.

JoshuaB81285
02-26-2007, 10:07 PM
Finger Eleven will be opening up...and they will probably play for about 40-45 minutes. Chevelle is the second band, and they'll most likely get about 50-60 minutes. Evanescence is headlining (as hence their name is on the tickets, and it is their tour) and they will probably play anywhere between 75-90 minutes.

Also, the ticket time of 7:30, with three bands...don't be surprised if that's when F11 takes the stage. Doors will probably open about 6:30 or so. I've been to the Gardens several times, it's normally how they do.

That's strange... at least one of the stations here in Nashville gave a TON them away (some when they first went on sale, some last weekend, and one today and tomorrow). I already bought my tick a while ago though... so. Plus it's not sold out here yet. strange.

Every decade or so, I get to be part of something that fully exceeds expectations. Tonight, I got to share a special something with my 11 year old daughter. EV tonight was that something. Mind you, the old gardens are a bit sad and run down, and although pleasantly surprised by finger eleven I could not wait for chevelle to depart.

But when EV's set started, it was as if we were all transported. The audience connected immediately, and the sound and quality of the performance grew with each passing minute. I think both the band and audience felt the connection. After what amounted to three encores, sadly it came to an end, and a spent Amy and Band, each taking a few minutes to toss a few mementos into the waiting hands of the sated throng, one by one disappeared stage left.

I do not see how they do it. I have not performed for 20 years now, but I cannot imagine how you can be so up and sharp for so many dates. That is likely why I gave up the performing arts when I entered college and only look back occasionally, wonder what if?

Our deepest thanks to band and all in attendance for an evening to remember.

All I've got to say is WOW!! Amy was awesome. I was like 15 feet from her. Hopefully I got some good shots with my disposable cam. I've been a fan since 2003 when Dare Devil came out but this was my first Ev concert. Chevelle and Finger Eleven was awesome too. Did anyone else see Terry Balsamo kick that garbage can at the end of the concert before the encore? I wonder what he was mad at. He does not have anything to be mad at because the concert was great. The snowfall was really cool when they played Lithium.

Hi Louisville friends,
Daddy Lee here. Sounds like the show was great. As a side note, Amy's sister Carrie (17) was with her last night in Louisville. Carrie's best friend, Megan, now lives in Louisville, so Before Amy and the band pulled out of Little Rock (2am Monday morning), she asked Carrie if she'd like to ride on the tour bus. So, I'm anxious to hear from Carrie and Amy today to see how it all went. Carrie is staying in Louisville for a few days and then will fly back to Little Rock. See you later!

Sounds like you guys had a blast! I'm thrilled about the concert in Nashville tonight. Wish I could've been at the KY one also, but that's a lot for two nights in a row. I bet all three bands will be kinda worn out tonight after playing two nights in a row.

That's really cool that Amy asked her sister to go with her on the tour bus. I bet they had a blast together! :D

A lot for two nights in a row, but never too much. lol

Yeah, we were about 6 people away from the stage...it's the day after the concert and I'm still wide awake from it all...she played a lot, it was great! Being right there was awesome. Thank you Ev, for the greatest night ever! :D

Thank you Ev, for the greatest night ever! :DHehe yeah just too much vacation time to have to take off work to drive up the Louisville (it's about 3-3.5 hours from me from what I remember last time I was there) and then back again for the Nashville concert. I would've attempted it, but I've already asked for a lot of vacation in June for going to California.

Glad you had fun! :)

DAMN
MY LIFE IS FULFILLED!!

I was in the very front row, a little to the right of the stage.
I was the one bawling/hypervenalating.

YOU GUYS!

I HUGGED AMY LEE.

and John like four times. And Tim twice.

When me and my friends hugged John, he was like o.o underaged giiiiirls. It was a little creepy.. lol. He was all, "You guys know I'm an oooold man, right?" 'cause we're like XD You're the 2nd sexiest member of Evanescence.

That was the best night of my life.

OMGOMGOMG

From the time the gates opened to like 10 minutes before I went to sleep I was bawling.

We were like the forth group of people in line.

That was the best night of my life.

I also met Terry but he was being like mega swarmed with people because he was the first to come out.

I was hoping that Rocky would come out but they said he already left.

Awh I feel bad lol I got tears on Amy Lee.

This girl RIGHT behind us passed out. o.o it was scary.

My friend got the guy from Chevelle's guitaur pick, too.

Wow, I'm rambling. I'm just so damn excited.

That was ****ing amazing.

and people wonder why the band sometimes is a little hesitant to come out and sign stuff/meet people... or more specifically amy.

dear lord.

i cant imagine someone just like literally screaming in my face.

at some point id just look up from what im signing, stare the person down and scream "HEY!!!" then in a normal voice "im less than a foot away from you. im not deaf, or at least i wasnt a minute ago. i can hear you if you speak to me like a normal human being. please try it before i get a migraine"

haha i have no patience for people.

i know you cant control it but next time just think - she's a normal person she's a normal person. people dont cry when they meet me lol

and o.O at humping the bus. a few of us joke around in canada and pretended to hold the bus up with our shoulders/backs because of the part that jutted out and we joked around that it was "the weight of the world" haha yeah. we're funny.

sometimes i wish i could trade places with amy just to see how long i could deal with the really crazy/loud/out there fans before i lost it. haha

Anybody there early enough to see that crazy guy with the caution tape and black eye talking about Pamela Anderson's tits???

Yeah that dude had issues. Someone had the cops go talk to him after he tried to talk to some girl. I believe they took him away in an ambulance. Pretty sure he was a crackhead.

Anyway as for the concert. It was awesome. I was lucky enough to be on the rail and minus the idiot crowd surfers had to be the best place to be. Amy Lee was maybe 5 feet away. :D

Just saw the show in Louisville. WTF is up with playing a few bars of Disturbed and then not covering Down With the Sickness? Big freakin' let down. They last song they played was great, but really what were they thinking playing Disturbed intro and not finishing? Tease I tell you.

Are you talking about right before they played Lithium? If so it was a mistake. Amy's piano didn't come up like it was supposed to and instead started playing that intro. Amy was pissed. I could tell by her face, and her bodyguard who was right in front of me started talking on his mic. Then a couple technical guys came out and was messing around under the stage to get the piano to come up.

I don't recall 3. They played my immortal and your star. I don't see how i missed one, then again that could of been one of the many times i was distracted because of idiot crowd surfers.

Sounds really cool. I had know idea they were coming out to sign autographs. The security guards told my wife and I that they had a tight schedule and were leaving right away because they had to drive to Nashville. Oh well maybe next time. I really don't think i could of held my own against screaming 15 year old girls anyway. LOL:D

Was the setlist the same???

Sweet Sacrifice, CMWYS, Weight of the World, Lithium, Lacrymosa, The Only One, Your Star, All that i'm Living for, Good enough, My Immortal, Going Under, Haunted, and Tourniquet.

Not in that order, but you get the idea. I don't think i missed any, but if i did someone please correct me.

He was pretty scary. We were trying to get my friend Nick to hug random people as they walked by, and that guy was the only one he refused.. XD Later on he was like, "Damn.. you wanted me to hug that guy...."

I was not able to make it to the show. I had to work that night. When I got home, I checked my caller i.d. and noticed that a friend of mine who I hadn't talked to in forever called me. Well, it was late and so I made up my mind that I would call her the next day. So the next afternoon I give her a ring. Her mom had two tickets to see Ev that she had won off the radio. My friend is at school in Lexington and couldn't make it down. And what really sucks...the tickets were front row. Makes me hate the fact that we have to work for money. :p

But to everyone that went I'm glad you all had the chance to go! :D
