Chevelle (http://www.chevelleinc.com/) and Finger Eleven (http://www.fingereleven.com/) will join Evanescence on this tour.

Evanescence is also planning a third U.S. leg which will bring the band to arenas in major markets in the late spring/early summer.

the Pearl is the name of the soon to be opened concert venue IN the Palms hotel/casino [palms.com]. & it's just a few minutes west of the strip on flamingo rd.

being that the palms features a fair amount of "adult " entertainment compliments of hugh hefner, in addition to the casino, what's the chance of there being an over 21 pollicy?? i'm hoping the pearl room is on the bottom by the thraters a fair ways/different floor from the playboy club and similar venues. you would think it would be, since there are a LOT of minors that like to do concerts.

saturday rooms don't appear to be available, according to the reservation site. . the basic rooms on sunday start at 120 dollars if you reserve them now and go up from there. if you were to reserve a room tomorrow the price bumps up to 250 dollars. i'm betting thats the price on a concert night, just because they can charge it.

these are the cheap rooms. junior suites and better rooms are $$$$$$$$$$$ i will probably have to find a budget 8 or hotel 6 type accomodations a few blocks off the strip so i can get the 50 dollar per night accomodations for my wife and myself

minors ARE allowd in the venue, however cameras and recorders ARE NOT and will be confiscated if seen, according to the ticketmaster info.

also, the palms is home to the playboy club and other sexually oriented/sexually themed shops and venues, so if your under 21 you mignt want to be aware of that and make sure your parents dont have an issue with you being at that location. i'd imagine the pearl is down by the theaters or other minor friendlty location, but i've never been there so i wouldnt know.

i can't believe how much of a difference ticket prices are for this show compared to a few others, but c'est la vie.

i'm definitely going to this show, so i'll see you guys there, perhaps.

if you can't get a room at the palms, i suggest the rio, also. that's just down the street and pretty nice, but still affordable. :)

OH! and i don't know if pearl is like rain, the club at the palms, but rain didn't accept cameras when i saw staind/three days grace/hurt there last april, but didn't seem to mind after the fact. though, this may be a no cam policy with the band, so if you want to chance it, you chance it. i'd say yes to disposable/regular cameras, but a nay on digital.

The Rio is nice, I've stayed there once, I'm going to try and get a reservation there, not interested in wasting money on a room I won't be in all that long. Thanks for the info guys.

heh, the whole of vegas, mainly the strip & downtown is sexually oriented really. everywhere you look is sexy billboards, signs, advertisements. that's just how it is here. i know that in a lot of the casinos the night clubs will be right next to restaurants, buffets, main walking areas, but i guess how they see it is kids shouldn't be out late at night when the clubs open anyways. -shrug-
i mean the mandalay bay house of blues is right in the casino, so minors going to the concerts [which is allowed for most, depending on the concert] have to walk through it, full view of all the alcohol, smoking, gambling, etc. just adult activities in general. it's not a minor-friendly city. why my parents ever decided to raise us here... -shakes head-.
i'm not exactly sure where in the hotel the pearl is located, i'll have to find out. i was just at that movie theater last weekend & didn't notice anything of the pearl near it... hm.

I would not try and use a fake ID for clubs or drinking in Vegas. If they catch you with one they not only take it, they take you to jail. I have friends who go there frequently and have told me you don't want to get caught in vegas with one. Be careful :)

Stratosphere is $150/night. On the strip, that's about the best you'll get.

he's right. for a one night stay everyone wants 140-150 per night. i'm getting one at the circus circus for $148 plus tax, $163 total. ( i looove the roller coaster park there) the next best rates ifound wrere at the emerald suites. which is only a block off the strip. 95 bucks a night if you reserve friday and saturday, but they won't rent you a room just for saturday for some reason. for that matter a lot of hotels wont rent you a room for just one night on a saturday. that's the cheapest i could find. hell, even budget 8 and hotel 6 are 100 bucks for a weekend unless you get rooms clear the hell on the other side of vegas.now if you want to go 60 miles tothe state border there are rooms for 50 bucks. but then it';s an hour drive to the hotel. pain in the ass, and not practical or reccomended at all if you plan on being intoxicated during/after the show, but definitly cheaper.

If it's anything like The Joint in the Hard Rock (and I believe it is), that's the size. The Joint was fantastic to see Tool.

The website said 2500 and no seat is further than 120 feet away from the stage. I saw ev at celeb theater in phx and it only held like 1800 and no seat was further than 75ft and it was great.

i found a room at the golden spike hotel and casino for $50 dollars a night its only a few min. away from the main strip i reserved it through orbitz. thats the best deal i could find i hope that helps. :) They do have rooms aval. for the 16th and 17th

I'm trying to stay @ the Palms if at all possible. It's where the shows are and hey, the bands might be there. :D Turns out they're not sold out on the night of the 16th, they just don't allow checkins on that date. So if someone wants to stay that night they have to check in the night before. Rooms are $269 for the basic and go up. Being as I want to stay the night of the 17th as well (Tool show) I would have to stay 3 nights, which is just too much Vegas.

Is there any way to get around these checkin date restrictions? The only thing I can think of is American Express, but they don't currently list availability.

Yes...Danny tore his bicep and the tour was postponed. I guess he is healing really well because Tool are already rescheduling the shows.

Yeah. My plan was to ride out there and see Ev + Tool in a two day musical awesomefest but a) I couldn't get Tool tickets through regular channels and then b) when the Tool show got pushed back I just sold my Ev tickets too and cancelled the whole thing.

The show is going to be in April or something, but I think that's optimistic. I've torn my bicep (both actually, and at different times!) and it took MONTHS to get fully healed, and more than a month to regain normal use even.

The cool thing about the Pearl is that they have the sound system linked up with the recording studio in the hotel, so they record every show in studio quality and they're making them available on iTunes. Hopefully on CD as well since iTunes sound quality is teh suq. But it'd still be hella cool to go to the first shows at the venue AND get a live recording of it as a memento! It's gonna be rad!

(I mean rad for the people who are actually going, which doesn't include me, because I'm sitting on my couch in the wrong city typing this in my pjs instead of travelling to Las Vegas.)

Okay I just got back from the show, IT EFFING ROCKED!!!! I met some new friends, while being there Finger Eleven rocked I danced crazily to "Paralyzer" And Chevelle came they were awesome and put on a good show, and then came Ev everyoen went crazy Amy wore a black corset and a red tutu she kept twirling around. Oh My gosh I had so much fun, People were getting in trouble for taking pics, It was really strict there, when, IT EFFING ROCKED IT WAS THE BEST NIGHT EVER!!!!!!!!! I'm in such a good right now I bought an Ev tour shirt and a Finger Eleven shirt, Woo, and the owner was there talked about "Live from Las Vegas" Itunes ordeal. as well. ANd it was the same setlist as listed. I met Brainy Smurf from here on Evthreads, IT EFFING ROCKED Anything else ask me,and Evanescence was the first to play there!!!!!!! WEEEEE.

I went to last nights show, and it was crazy! I loved it! The band did an amazing job as usual, and they played Cloud 9, so I can die happy. Plus, Amy's outfit was gorgeous (as always). She was wearing this pretty maroon black frilly skirt (you know her style) and a black and grey corset, with red and black stockings on her legs. She looked killer! It was way fun! I can't wait to get the performance off of itunes!

brainy checking in: yup my wife and i were there as well right behind joley moley in the pit!!! the concert rocked BIG TIME!!!! the other guys info is close to mine. standing for almost 4 hours about did me and the wife in, but it was totally fun anyways!! security was roaming the entire pit shutting off cameras during the ev set, but not the finger 11 or chevelle set. and they were all stationed right behind me so my pirate booty decided not to risk any ninjaness and try to sneak a a pic in. (i dont think anyones got taken away, luckily) oh well this one will be on video, so the lack of pics isnt such a big deal to me. what was really different about this show vs anywhere but home is that amy had both an acoustic piano and a synth onstage, not just a digtal piano like she was touring with a while back. and they had it set up so it was snowing during lithium. amy got a good crack in that mabye lithium shoul be played last so she didnt have to dry off from all the snow. and they did get two encores in as well. what was really cool was amy coming out saying "OK guys i expect you so sing along with this one" as she started playing my imortal. at the end me the wife and i were so hammered we just stumbled back to the car and crashed in the hotel, and didnt even bother trying to get anythng signed. of course the way casino security was there im not so sure i would have even had a good chance there anyways, even if i had been in any shape to wait. trying to find vips at a casino in vegas is a whole different ball came than a little theater somewhere.

i played around in vegas all day sunday, and just now got home. man, you single folks that live close to concerts have it lucky. total cost for me:

tickets: 120.00
hotel room: 190.00
rental car (the fuel pump in mine is almost gone) 150.00 + 40.00 gas and 150.00 deposit
concert shirts and drinks: 80.00 (concert shirts are 30 bucks apice and non alcollic drinks are 4 bucks apice, even the water)

total up front cost for the concert: $730.00!! plus the other 150 i spent sunday playing in vegas at the circus circus. so even when i get the deposit back for the rental car, im into this concert over SEVEN HUNDRED DOLLARS.

MAN the things some of us have to do to get to a concert.:eek:

edit: oh yeah, when the cincert on itunes comes out, look about 5 feet off the stage about 4 feet to the right for a guy waving evthreads name tags in the air a couple of times. thats me:D

Why did people stand in line??? I got to the show late and still got front row. I just don't understand how you can be in VEGAS and stand in line waiting for a show.

LOL it's just being polite i guess...Everybody should do that...if u get there first u should get in th efront row if u get last in the last row...I don't see anything strange in it

i actually got three of those itunes cards. one each for the wife and i, and one when i bought my concert shirts.

Yeah, I got there just a little early and still got in the front. Most shows in Vegas, you have to wait for at least an hour so that you can get in front. I noticed that the left side of the stage was like empty and the right side was super crowded; it was pretty interesting. :) Maybe it's cuz it's a new venue and nobody really knew what to do yet.

By the way, did anybody else at this show get pix or meet them? Cuz when I went out behind the buses there were only two other people there and when I went out again a little later, there was NOBODY. I know it's a new venue, but it was a bit odd!

Is this the show that they recorded to be released on iTunes? I've been looking for a thread involving that show. I check iTunes every tuesday to see if it has been released. I also bought the show exclusive 'video giftcard' off eBay a few months ago that said that the show was going to be released soon. I was just wondering if anyone has heard anything because I was just on iTunes and I saw that Hinder has released a preformance from that show and I remembered Ev... Sorry if this is the wrong show or place to post this.

I doubt they are going to release it. My theory is that they planned on it, but then shortly after there were the band lineup changes and they are no longer going to put it out.

I wonder why it matters. Maybe it's a matter of public perception, like them seeing the old and then the new and being like wtf? And they don't want to draw more attention to the line-up change? Most people don't pay attention to anyone besides Amy anyway. An acquaintance of mine who went to FVT and also went to their earlier fall '06 show with me came back asking who the new drummer was. I was like, umm p.s. "they" changed their guitarist too.
