I just have to say I am really pleased Evanescence is going to be performing in Adelaide, it saves me a trip to Melbourne (yes, I'm that sad and obsessed). Bands often skip us because, lets face it, Adelaide is pretty small for a major city. Either that or it's a really big country town. I think the latter is more accurate.

it is a little bit away from the airport.. if u r traveling by train u will hav 2 go 2 the city and catch a train that goes to bowden station and its within walking distance from there ohh and section 7 is a place were u cant see them very well but they have big screens were u can watch.. :)

I'd say the entertainment centre is about 20 mins from the airport...
I'm so shocked they are coming back to Adelaide again....the 2004 turn out was really really bad i was certain they would not come back here again.

I missed their Fallen concert due to insufficient funds... just how bad was the turnout? It couldn't have been that bad if they are coming back this year.

well i was up the front so i couldnt really tell all that well what the GA section was like behind me...i kinda forget actually haha....i'd been camping with friends for 4 days and came back the day of the concert, was so delirious, then had to stand through 2 supports, finger 11 were rad though....god please let there be only 1 support this time...but the seating was like between 3/4 and 1/2 full, it was so bad...i felt really embarrassed for Ev. But the show was great...i even got a couple of good pics (below)...considering i only had an old film camera! he he he. I go to alooooot of shows at the ent. centre and this was so empty, i think the Thebarton Thearte would have been better at that stage, they would have filled that nicely, i don't think most people had caught on to Ev at that stage. Hence why im so shocked they are coming back....its great. :)

yeah the GA section is quite big i was there 2 mths ago but i had a ticket 4 the GA and i got to go and sit in the upper section so maybe u can get down to the ground bit 4 the show

I got tickets in section 1, row EE. I like my tickets, they are admittedly not as close as I would have liked but I'm kinda claustrophobic so GA wasn't exactly an option.
This is going to rock so hard! Never seen Ev live before

Wanted GA, but couldn't because my sister and cousin are coming with me, and my mother wont let my sister go GA and my cousin is a pigmy, so would end up flattened in the pit. Ah well. I'll probably spend an unbelievable amount on GA tickets in Sydney from eBay closer to the date, so I can still have the proper experience.

Well im going with a few other friends and they are not as crazy about Evanescence as me so we probably wont be lining up too early. Prob get there early afternoon. Yeah i really should start thinking about booking my flights too... Vodafone Arena is pretty big :)

I'm not completely sure about the hotel thing. But as for the East thing, mine says that too. I'm not overly sure what it means, but I think it's just to do with where we go when we get in there - what door we have to go through, but that's a guess.

Yeah it is the door u enter thru .. the east side of the building .. i got GA East aswel Ohhh and for the hotels the closest i would kno of is in the city like almost nxt to the train station, but i cnt memba wat it is called sorry .. hope u guys hav fun i kno i will

A small crowd probably wouldn't work at the Entertainment Centre, seeing as it's such a huge venue. Smaller crowds work well in more intimate theatres, just from my experience :)

There are taxis but unfortunately I have no idea about the bus routes around that area. There is a bus that will take you from the airport into the city, but as for getting to the Ent. Centre, I have a feeling that from the city, the train may be involved - sorry I can't be of more help.

I've just torn a ligament in my ankle, so I'll be hobbling around like a moron, and probably spend most of the concert sitting like a granny rather than jumping around having a blast! *sulk* Thank God I ended up going with seated tickets, else I wouldn't be able to go at all!

You best bet is to catch a taxi from the airport to the ent cent. its only a 15 min drive tops so wont cost you all that much. it would be too much of a pain to catch the airport bus into the city and then out again...for what is a such a short trip by cab.
But if you want food you'll need to go to the city, there is nothing near the ent cent to eat apart from a pub type thing across the road, the governor hindmarsh.

just got hom efrom adelaide like 5 mins ago n came straight on here! lol the concert was AWESOME, , best thing ive ever done, i was so happy! i got a tshirt and necklace and there awesome. amy looked so gorjus!! although there was there 2 really drunk girls next to us and there were really bothering everyone around them, elbowing as all and leaning on every1, 1 moved away evantually but the other 1 stayed, i felt really sorry for the 2 girls in front of me coz she moved up infront of them and i think it really wrecked it for them, she was like swaying with her lighter nearly burning ppl's hair! ..yeah.. but oh well i had a great time! wasnt really that close but it was good enough

I was there! First Evanescence concert I've seen (heard loads of bootlegs though), it was awesome!! Sooo much better in person than anything I've heard on the recordings. Amy Lee was fantastic, though I wasn't a big fan of the skirt she was wearing. Also I noticed she didn't introduce the band, which was a bit disappointing, they should get some credit too... BUT apart from that, I LOVED it. Didn't buy any merchandise though, but had a great time at the show :)

I was at the concert last night! OMG it was amazing! 10th row from the stage - so I got a pretty awesome view! I was thrilled when she sung Good Enough and Imaginary! My two fav songs! Best show i've been to!

I was there last night! ****ing rocked. That was my first Evanescence concert and it by far exceeded my expectations.

Me and my friend were originally supposed to be in seating but we swapped with my brother & his gf for their GA tickets on the day. I'm so glad we did! We got front row of the mosh, on the left. It was a great spot, we didnt get squashed or anything. At some points of the night we were little more than a metre away from Amy. John was in front of us the entire night and just generally rocking out so upclose. Right at the end of the night I even got covered in his sweat when he headbanged and it went flying. It was a, ahem, nice experience *cough*

I got the Open Door tee with the closeup group photo on the front and the door with gold light on the back. I also got the poster and sticker pack. Definately good value.

Did any of you guys get good photos? The ones I got my brother to take didnt turn out very well because they had to hide the camera after being warned many times.

Woo! I'm still hyped about the concert. That was freakin awesome. They sounded AMAZING! 4 rows back from the front (although stuck behind a 6ft+ guy and his 6ft+ friend for part of it). It was a little surreal to be that close to the band. And Shihad rocked. I love that band.

I should take this opportunity to apologise to anyone I inadvertantly attacked with my mohawk. The music was too damned good for me not to throw my head around. I feel like I have whiplash now. Aw hell, it was worth it!

I posted some of my Melbourne pics in the Melbourne 02/10 thread....again boo hiss with the no camera rule, i understand he flash would be annoying...but i never use flash anyway. Im really disspointed because ive got a pretty good camera and would have gotten some mad shots if i could hold the camera up steady without having to watch for secuirty. The snow sucked in Adelaide...it was ooo amazing in Melbourne, but the Adelaide show was 10 times better than the Melbourne one, strangely enough.

Marc, I find it hard ot believe ev could possiblt perform any better than they did in Brissy (aside from Amy screwing up the piano in Good Enough and the snow not working properly). What exactly about it was better.

The guitar pick is very cool.

for me the show as better than the 1st melbourne show because;
1 there was not as much of a squish i had a bit more breathing space
2 the crowd went off, we were SO much louder than melbs
3 the band were into alot more and Amy made a few comments about how much fun they were having etc which i knew wasnt bull**** because she didnt say anything like that in Melbs

the only thing about it thatw as better in Melbs was the snow was AMAZING, there was so much infact marc told me there was too much soemthign must have gone wrong...in adelaide the snow only went on the stage so it must have misshapped there too! hehe :)

The crowd was more into it, the band were more into it, John was going hardcore big time. And rocky threw in a made drum improv at the end of Imaginary. Adelaide was teh best so far easy

Yeah I saw that review...It wasn't really a review though they spent half of it talking about all the "issues" the band has had in the last few years. lol. :D :D :D OMG evanescence concert ruled its was so awome i was at the very frount on the left side amy came ova a few times john was there allot and thank god the secirity gards were giving the ppl at the frount cups of water i really needed it omg amy is so beautiful... pitty they drove off in sydney they didnt my friend got to meet amy and terry lucky bitch hehe and she got terry to sign her boobs hehe... got a few pics but those dam gards dam them to hell i could hav gotten heaps gud pictures :mad: :mad:
