So, I was thinking: What are all the crazy facts about Evanescence? And I found two so far:

1. In the Song "Hello", when the last 30 seconds of the song are played in reverse, Amy says "It Hurts Me All Over", and you can also hear something along the lines of "Hear ME!"

2. Okay, I found this chain of things interesting...

~ Origin-->2nd Track--->Whisper--->Lyrics-->..FALLEN angels at my feet....

~Fallen---> 2nd Track-->Bring Me to Life--->Lyrics--->..like OPEN DOORs?

~ The Open Door--->2nd Track--->Call Me When You're Sober--->Lyrics---> [to be continued...lol]

-The second one boggles my mind, but can anyone think of any other crazy facts?????

Well this isn't too crazy of a coincidence but the first singles on both Fallen and ToD are the second tracks on their albums. And I would say that the second singles are the fourth tracks off the albums, but I don't think "My Immortal" was the second single was it?

Wow, interesting obeservation about the lyrics having the same name as their following albums...Maybe the next album will be called Jaded or Playing the Victim or something :p

nope going under was 2nd single, my immortal was 3rd. i'd noticed the bmtl and cmwys thing too. and the lyrics link for bmtl and tod. hmm jaded sounds like a cool name for an album. not playing the victim tho blegh!

I have noticed in at least one song on every album there has been a line similar to

'you want me come find me.'

Pre-Fallen-- Anything for You. I believe (not entirely positive)
"if you want me. Come and find me."

Fallen-- My Last Breath.
"Look for me in the White Forest hiding in a a hollow tree (come find me)"

The Open Door-- Call Me When You're Sober.
"You want me, come find me, made up your mind."

I noticed the part in BMTL where the lyrics have "like open doors" and thought it was kind of strange that there second album was called "The Open Door".

With the part where the songs are the second on the album but are their first singles, and their second singles are their fourth songs seems to be another coincidence.

Even though Going Under was their second single and the first on Fallen, you heard My Immortal on Daredevil, making it the second song your heard, even though in the movie, you heard it before BMTL.

Daredevil: My Immortal- Funeral scene. BMTL- Where Elecktra slashes sandbags with her sai's scene. Background lightning/storming. After Funeral.

How do you play the songs in reverse? Like Hello's last 30 seconds saying "It hurt's me all over".

And know this is a random coincidence that happens on occasion but one time I was getting dressed and I had the radio on and then I put my Ev hoodie on and right after I did, CMWYS started playing :p And the same exact thing happened today! I was listening to the album and then when I switched to the radio, CMYWS was on...

Anyway, I think it'd be extremely stupid for you to write and compose a song and arrange it and play it and then play it backwards and pretend it's another thing entirely different so our brains will catch the secret message and make us Satan minions and kill all fat white guys with few hair and He-Man t-shirts. Or to make we all down on our knees singing Madonna's Like a Prayer. Or whatever. I believe those are only coincidences, and if they're not then I really respect Amy, Ben and David, because it must be hard to compose a song talking about love and destruction and make it say "I want a new plushie bear so I can put some drugs on it and throw at you and make my throwing-evil-bears dance" when played backwards.

In "Whisper," the "Origin" version is where I found this, I'm sure it's in the "Fallen" version too, but when Amy sings "Speaking to the atmosphere" and reverse it you hear "There is no one." I used to have a lot of things written down about Evanescence songs being reversed and I can't find them. :(

I think it'd be cool if someone asked Evanescence if they meant to put those there.

I doubt it's/was intentional. It's just like Led Zeppelin's "Stairway To Heaven." If you reverse some parts of the chours, can't remember the words, you hear "My sweet sweet satan."

It would be near impossible to put those things in htere intentionally, I mean it must b difficult to compose songs as amazing as Ev ones in the first place never mind having to think about putting in something else when you play it in reverse

It almost is impossible. Songs like Evanescence songs being so great and amazing is truely a gift from God, and not to mention talented, which is also a gift form the man above. :D

Aloi. That was funny. I got scared after watching that one Cradle Of Filth Subliminal Message with the Lord's Prayer and the pictures flashing and the scream and the demented voices saying the Lord's Prayer. I cried. lol.

I also used to think that the characters from "Goosebumps" and "Are You Afraid Of The Dark" were at the foot of my bed or coming through my wall so I used to sleep with my covers over my head, but I gave myself an air whole thing so I looked like an Eskimo... lol.

Ellen: do you have a mic? If yes, do this: play any Evanescence song and turn your Sound Recorder (Gravador de Som in Portuguese, I don't know how it's written in the English version of Windows) on. Then you record the song. See options and select Reverse. It records about 60min, but you can go Copy what's recorded and paste it, so the time will be longer, and then record more. I can't explain properly, specially in another language, but that's it, you do have a program to listen to songs played backwards. ^__~

Funny thing is that almost all phrases you found do make sense within the music. I mean, if Amy, Ben and David had written "there is no one" in Whisper, it'd make no difference.

subliminal messages are freaky, and after listening to all the ones in the ev songs, its crazy! there is no way they intentionally did that.

goosbumps and are you afraid of the dark freaked me out too!! and that book with the skull house on it, scary stories to tell in the dark....scared me! i remember one story about a toe.....ahhh i am freaked out now thanks! ha ha

dudes...i saw all these like similairites between fallen and tod..
1.)going under/sweet sacrifece-talk about the same thing..one says i am trapped, ehlp me..the other says i am no longer trapped
2.)bmtl/cmwys-first single and both are track 2 on the cd's
3.)my immortal/lithium-both track 4 and both piano ballads
4.)huanted/cloud nine-both have the haunting/horror movie like music
5.)whisper/your star-both track 11-both have that choir in the backround..and in whisper it went the guitar solo-singing by amy-then choir and in your star it goes piano solo-amy singing-choir as well
6.)whisper/good enough-last tracks on the album and both are around 5 minutes long

dont get me wrong..TOD rocks dudes and the songs and music are cool, just pointing out some similairites!!

The only coincidence ive found is that every other Ev song is a hit.

BMTL= Hit
Going Under= Not so big
My Immortal= Huge!
Everybody's Fool= Not so Big
CMWYS= Insanely huge

Kind of makes me sad because I want Lithium to be huge too! :confused:

Reverse any song in the world and chances are you'll find a "hidden message". Reverse "Another One Bites the Dust" and you'll hear "It's fun to smoke marijuana". I wouldn't bet on these messages being put there on purpose. Nothing to go crying to your mommy about.

Actually, Hasn't there been some connection between songs on all of them since Origin?
Origin- Where Will You Go and Anywhere-- "Yeah yeah, Yeah yeah, yeah yeah..."
Fallen- Well, I guess since My Immortal was put on there twice... if anyone can help me prove this theory with Fallen, then please help me out. :)

And since Fallen, There have been 2 songs that blend in perfectly... Tourniquet's outro with Imaginary's intro [especially considering, it was once part of Imaginary's intro] And Like You and Lose Control... they blend...

Oh yes! I've heard that several times! It's where the band kinda drifts out for a few second and right before the choir starts singing the Latin...I was thinking maybe Amy was having a fun time while recording the song? :p

I do not know, may be I just cannot hear it on the computer, may be it just what I think it is - she breathed out and then in. I cannot hear it as a giggle.

I am going to listen to it off my CD over my sound system. If my results differ, I will post it, if not - this is my current opinion over the whole thing.

SWQ & C9: are 4 mins and 22 secs.
WotW & lacrimosa: 3 mins and 37 secs.
Even in death & MLB: are 4 mins and 7 secs.
going under & CMYWS: 3 mins and 34 secs.
Imaginary, Missing, & like you: 4 mins and 17 secs.
Exodus and Sweet sacrifice: 3 mins and 5 secs.

Did you notice that the woman under the water in the video for Going Under is the SAME woman from under the lake in the video for Lithium? No lie!! I'm not kidding!!! [actually, she's under water in the second video for each album!! ;)]
And am I the only one who realized that Bring Me To Life, Going Under, My Immortal, and Everybody's Fool are all on the SAME album? Spooky!!
Talk about coincidence-- Track 4 from Origin is VEEERY similar to Trak 4 on Fallen... whoooooo!!

The funny thing about this 2 songs are that they are just right next to each other so I don't know if it's intentional or coincidental.

This isn't really like coincidental, but I was watching IMF [International Music Feed] channel and I saw this video, by Autralian Stephanie McIntosh [sp?] and she has this song 'Tightrope' and is basically the same video as BMTL, but instead of climbing a building and seeing into the windows, she was crossing over a 'Tightrope' and well, her boyfriend in the video reached for her, and she slipped, and it was the whole--hold onto her hand but accidentally let go, and he jumped down with her and hugs her as they head towards the ground, instead of just standing there, and then she woke up in her bed, like a dream....hmmm...COPYCATS..lol. It was just the whole outdoor scene and when they were falling it looked the same too...CRAAAZY.

I noticed that just about all the Ev videos have some kind of color scheme to them. Bring Me To Life is blue, My Immortal is done in grayscale (duh), Call Me When You're Sober is kind of reddish, and Lithium has blue once again. The only exceptions to this coincidence are Everybody's Fool and Going Under.

Going Under- Diving into the pool of fans which turns into cool jellyfish-ified water.
My Immortal- The symbolism of her foot in the water and the whole part around the water fountain.
Everybody's Fool- The bathtub scene.
Lithium- Walking into a poool of her misery.

Water's a big part of Ev it seems. I think its pretty cool.

on youtube you can find a lot of reversed evanescence songs..just type evanescence reversed and you'll get tons of them...but, they're usually crap. I mean, you hear those words cause you were told that you would hear them. If they didn't tell you anything, you would NEVER hear anything, only weird murmurs. a lot of these subliminal messages in the song, really you can't hear them unless you know what to listen for. I always try to listen to them before I read what you supposedly can hear. If you do that a lot of times it sounds like nothing. Its kind of like your brain KNOWS what to hear so it hears it. I'm not saying that its not the designed intention or anything just a lot of time those aren't really too accurate i think.

I'm not completely sure if it's there but I think it is - it sounds a lot like a typewriter to me :eek:
