Amy's sisters doing backup on CMWYS

Apparently Amy's sister(s?) did back ups on call me when you're sober. So, do you think that they might be trying for a singing career? anyone else fear a similar situation to ashlee simpson? Amy may be an influence on them (are there two?) but that doesnt mean IF they go for it that they will stay true to themselves. Haha, just a thought, but hollywood is nuts. Just a thought...

My friend and I have had his daughter as a lead singer before on some of our own music. Its not realy that uncomon to do this sort of thing. We had his girl sing a song "You never loved me." I think The Bass player wanted it this way to make a DIG at his EX, so he had his little girl sing it .
The nature of Call me when your sober is pretty clear,and what would be more of a dig in someones ass than having all of the Lee girls singing on this song? I can tell you as a guy ,I cant think of anything worse than getting DISSed by an EX girlfriend and her sisters...

Your right . It is pretty unnoticeable on this song since Amy has put so many vocal tracks on this one. If you didnt read the C.D. credits you wouldnt have a clue. I heard a Kareoke version of this song and if you listen VERY carefuly , you can hear them. BUT.. I think Amy has put a track or 2 on the backups as well.

Ya know what, wow, I never thought of it that way...but you're right, it's so much more in-your-face if you have your sisters backing you up. Not to mention they were in a relationship for a couple of years so Amy's family accepted him and now that they're broken up it's kinda like a representation of how possibly her whole family feels.

In Windows Media Player, I find if you put the WOW effect on, you can kind of hear them better, but it's not like you can't hear Amy, you can just hear that's three people singing instead of it being as blended as it normally sounds...

She played/sang "My Immortal," and it was fantastic! She has a beautiful voice. I haven't seen her lately, but at the time (in 2003), she looked quite a bit like Amy (I think she and Robby look a lot alike, too...and that they all look like their dad). It was pretty cool. She was dead-on for the whole piano arrangement, and her voice fit the song.

I've also heard Mr. Lee play banjo. They're a pretty musical family! :)

if you fiddle with your headphones put the plug slightly in and keep going till you hear the echoes and instruments only, this works on my creative Rhomba mp3 and you can hear amy's sisters vocals. I dont know if it works on all mp3's. (sorry about confusion)

I remember the quote too and it said something to the effect of if you've heard Amy's voice, you should listen to Lori's and Carrie's.

It's been months since that post was made and I'm sure he didn't intend to make it sound like he was trying to start a sibling rivalry.

On top of that, as far as CMWYS is concerned, you've only judged them off of singing backup on one song.

Amy's been making music for almost 10 years and we've heard pretty much everything in that amount of time.

I have two younger sisters too and we sing together sometimes, but we never have any issues about which of us would have the better voice or anything. We're all very different. We all have different music styles which I think comes forward in the way we sing, yet we can sing good harmonies.

Anyway, what I'm saying is- I'm sure that Amy, Carrie and Lori all have something distinguishable too. It doesn't necessarily make one better than another. I think the comment that their father made simply meant that they all have something else to bring.

Wow I didnt know they were a musical family, I mean it seems like everyone stalks amy or something here, because I dont really know the backround on her family or what they are about. I know shes talented, and I know her backstory with ben and her hometown but I kind of never felt it was neccesary to find out everything about her. Her and Ben were the band when I started listening and I just wanted to know the bans history. Its kind of sad for people to forget about the rest of the band although I do it a lot too.

I knew amy was choir president, but I never really hear of musical families so im kind of surprised.

I have also read in TOD credits, that Amy had flown her two sisters, Lori, and Carrie, to both sing back up singers on CMWYS!! I think that was Awesome of Amy to have done that!! I read it was a great exsperience for all three of them, and to spend time together!! I know Lori, is now starting her own band!!:D But I have heard no word, on what Carrie is now doing! But I think no matter what, they will always have ppl to turn to in their family, Amy, or their dad!! I think this is an awesome way, for both of the girls to gain exsperience in the music industry! Weather they want to mantain a career, is most likely all up to them! I just think it always helps, that they have someone to kind of be a coach to them, if they ever get stuck with something!! Yeah, same here, sure there's similarities, but that's expected as they're related.. it'd be confusing if they sounded nothing like each other!;) Also, it depends on people's individual opinions, people percieve things differently!
Like i said in the Solstice thread, they're both different artists, and therefore should not be compared so much. I do like both their music though, and both have shown their talent. I just think it's great that they're into music and not wasting their talent! I hope Lori does succeed if she decides to persue a carrer in music, she could be a great asset to the music industry!:)

I agree she does sound like Amy when she was that age (almost identical in looks too Oo) and they do sound good. Kinda reminds me of the older days of Ev when alot of the piano was used.

Kinda surprised she doesn't have her sister's band on her friends list Oo unless they are desperately trying to stay out of that loop (which I don't blame them) It's hard to make it big when you're related to the lead singer of another more successful band =/
