on our tickets, it says that cameras arent allowed in...
which sucks but is it really true?
cause what fun is a concert (put on by your favorite band in the world) if you cant take pictures to show everyone?!

On the ticket it says 'No cameras/recorders' but my friend said he's been to concerts at the Pacific Coliseum and they let him in even when he had a camera. As long as it's not some professional camerma and turn off the flash. But I don't know, because I don't have a car so if they don't let me in the concert because of the camera, I don't know where to put it. Does anyone know the official website for the venue? I want to e-mail them or something and ask them if it's okay if it's just a normal digital camera.
By the way, I can't get my siggy pic to work.

I remember that at the last ev show at the PC they took anything like that, gave you a ticket (kind of like a coat check ticket), and you could pick it up after the show. And they were taking everything, not just cameras. Hope that helps.

Have fun tonight, guys :D
Could one of you, when you come back, tell us if SWQ was played live or not? Apparently it wasn't in Edmonton, so I'm curious (and so I can edit the Setlist thread if I need to lol).

I just got back home an hour ago. This was my second concert so I didn't know what to expect. At the end, people kept cheering until they came back and played 2 more songs.
The seats were far away, in the B I believe. Mom got the tickets near Christmas, so yeah... But it was so awesome. I'm gonna lose my voice tomorrow. And I don't like screaming. XD
Anyways, it was a great concert. And it relaxed my nerves, as I have a piano exam tomorrow.

I went to this concert and was REALLY happy that they added Cloud Nine to the mix. Amy's vocals sounded a bit rough, hoarse, and out of tune sometimes during this song, but considering how hard it is to sing I can't really blame her. I was just happy to hear the song live as it's my favourite off the new album.
Snow White Queen wasn't played, I believe Cloud Nine had taken its place.
And it was announced at the concert that ALL THAT I'M LIVING FOR will be the next single. I was a bit surprised about that, as it doesn't really seem like a likely third choice ... but hey, good for them for trying something a bit different than the established norm with their single choices.
I have a feeling that EVERYBODY'S FOOL was not Amy's choice of single. If you look at the concert footage on their dvd she doens't really announce the song with enthusiasm; I think she wanted IMAGINARY instead to be the single. That song was played and sounded incredible, by the way.
WEIGHT OF THE WORLD sounds better in concert. Much more raw and energetic! Hearing MY IMMORTAL reminded me of why it was popular (albeit overplayed), and there really is no comparible ballad like that on this new album.
But man, they played YOUR STAR in the encore, and that is such a good choice. Amy even mentioned that it's hard for them to play it, but it's well worth it!
Anyway a few quibbles...
I wish the band were focused on more. All the interviews are about Amy, the music videos are about Amy, and the concert is about Amy. Amy didn't even introduce the band, there were no solos or anything. I felt a bit like watching a hard rock, non-skanky version of Christina Aguilera rather than an actual rock concert. The music was there, but the stage presence wasn't.
Also, I could have done without some of the older tunes. I've overplayed them, it's been forever since they had anything new out, so I thought they could have promoted the entire album and thrown out a few of the oldies.
That said, it was a good concert and worth the price. I got cheap tickets after all. LOL ;)

That concert was just amazing, I love every minute of it. Yhea I was also a little disspointed that SWQ wasnt' played since it's one of my favs but now I love Your star and Littum, so yeah there is no songs on TOD that I dislike now. Awsome news too, Amy announced at this show that All I am living for is the next single, just so all of you who doubted the other concerts announcements, it was announced tonight as well.
Also what did you guys think of amy's outfit, I loved it. I think she looked amazing, that skirt was so cute.

I actually hated the skirt personally. It was too floofy and not really attractive on her.
haha, which is important to me cuz I'm a guy ;)

It was fantastic!!! I had as much fun as I thought I would have. I had floor tickets with a few friends.
I didn't really like Black Maria because it's not really my type of music and plus their instruments were overpowering the lead singer.
Stone Sour had alot of stage presence, moreso than Evanescence I must admit, but their music again minus Through Glass, is too heavy for me. I did enjoy how they got the crowd totally into it, though I was much too close to the mosh pit for my liking.
And Evanescence, well, there's a reason why we all love them. Amy Lee's powerful voice definitely translates well into a live concert. She hit almost all the notes correctly, though she did mess up a couple times, it was so minimal I couldn't recall the exact moment. In "Good Enough", she hit a wrong key on the piano and she said "oops!" but that was about it.
One of the things that was sort of off-putting was in Lacrymosa, the instruments were way too overpowering for the mozart part of it. One of the reasons why the song is so haunting and appealing is because of this background music, and by taking that aspect away, it's not as strong as the CD version.
And yes, it was definitely a disappointment that they did not play SWQ, but they played most of the songs that I wanted to hear, so I'm not too worried about it. I would have liked Evanescence to be on stage longer - it was around an hour and fifteen minutes at most, including the encore.
Still, I can't wait for another concert to them. I'll definitely be going when they return.

y'know, I have to admit that I got a bit bored during parts of the concert. I really wanted to hear the new songs mostly, as I have overplayed the old stuff ... and actually, I felt that the two opening songs were not two of Evanescence's strongest songs (although WOTW sounded pretty good live). It wasn't until the fourth song that I really got into the concert, and for the most part I was kept interested from that point on.
Call Me When You're Sober actually really annoys me though. Hearing those other songs live like 'Cloud Nine', 'Your Star', 'Lacrymosa' and 'The Only One' makes me wonder why those songs were passed over as first single when they're so much more interesting and less annoying lyrically (less whiney).
hehe now I sound like a whining fan right now ... but yeah, the bands sounded good live, I wish that it had been a little more of a band effort in that the lighting focused far too much on Amy and made it feel like an 'Amy and co.' show rather than a total band effort. Also, I think Amy and the band could have diolagued more with the audience and engaged them more, instead of just going from song to song.
But oh well, it was an entertaining evening overall, and some of the songs sounded really great live. I was impressed that the band attempted some of the more difficult tunes and added them into the set list.
