I got my tickets this morning! I was on presale and I STILL managed to miss the floor by a long shot. Oh well, that's why the good lord invented scalpers.

I was going to go the camrose show that year, but I opted to go to BC to see them instead haha. 8 hour road trip to see them- it was a wcked show, too. I'm SO stoked. 71 days, yo!

I didn't even USE presale! I did, however, use the Front Of The Line option. With that option, there are still floor tickets avaliable. That may have helped:p Maybe for the presales they just limited the amount of floor tickets sold?

Actually.. there's a lady on EvFanClub and she's selling her two floor tickets (yes for the Calgary show) for the price she paid which is $47.50 a ticket. so all together, $115. If you want, I could get more details for you, Lithium_08. :)

It's better to be in the stands and to the side than in the stands and facing the stage, imo. :P I was "facing the stage" for another concert and it sucked. :(

There's a door facing the Corral that you lineup at for floor access. I'm thinking about getting there about 3:30 or 4. I'm not sure what the lineup will be like then, but I'm fairly confident that I'll still get a good spot up front.

I'd say about 11 at the latest. Evanescence will probably go on about 9:15 or 9:30, and play for about an hour and a half, something like that.

I was at the concert yesterday. For those of you wondering what time the concert will go till, well, the Winnipeg concert started at 7:00. Evanescence came on a few minutes after 9:00. I think it ended at around 10:20-ish, but I can't remember if that includes the encore or not. :p

So! It was pretty cool - that is to say, the band was AMAZING. Everyone was right on target, Amy was INCREDIBLE of course. The songs were awesome.

Seriously though, from where I was, we were like the worst audience ever until two thirds of the way through. No one was standing up in the stands. My boyfriend and I stood up and were having a good time but the dude behind us was drunk and freaked out quite unpleasantly, so we sat down. But yeah! It was a really awesome show, all in all. Here's hoping they'll come back!

Oh, I can't say I'm a Stone Sour fan. Or The Black Maria, for that matter, but all they lacked was stage presence. Stone Sour has lots of that but I didn't like how often he swore (just me) and I didn't like their louder songs so much. But it was cool anyhow.

wow. that ROCKED THE SOCKS OFF OF ME! DUDE FOR THE FIRST CONCERT IVE EVER BEEN TO, THAT ROCKED!!

ya, what can i say about the black maria and stone sour-well, personally, i didnt really like the black maria. and stone sour was good at getting everybody hyped up, but some of there heavy music just kinda freaked me a little bit. lol.

and then evanescence came out and amy hit every single note right, and the band ruled! i was kinda upset with the crowd though, cuz i was like the only person in my section like even bobbing my head and rockin out. and the friend that i went with is like one of those people who show no emotion. 0.o.

so when amy was like "winnipeg, so and so were awesome...but i dunno about you guys" (cant remember exactly what she said) i was like pissed. lol the crowd didnt really get with to like, ya, 2/3 of the way through. and i wanted to like stand up and be like "ya this is awesome!" but i was surrounded be like 40 year olds and this couple who were sitting behind us werent very happy with me being all hyped like that. lol.

did anybody manage to get pics/mp3's of evanescence? i wanted to get a pic but i was like waay in the second section camera-less. lol. if so, i would greatly appreciate it.

Here's the pic I got with the band. I had the best night ever. Got all 3 books signed by each member, and they also signed a big poster for the open door. I even think that I was the only one to ask Amy for a hug, and she totally gave me one, so I was in my glory! I'll try to get pics of everything up soon, except for the hug because I didn't get one, lol. The directors chairs that we got were pretty nice too. Some chick wanted to buy one from us soo bad, lol.

I didn't really care for The black maria or Stone Sour, although I enjoyed Through Glass, as I'm sure a lot of people did. Evanescence was amazing though. I was totally in awe at how well they did. The lights were awesome too. So, what an iIncredible show. I can't wait for them to come back or nearby so I can see them again!

Aww, yeah I totally know about the people in the stands. :( I was there too and I wanted to get up and just rock out but I'm sure the people behind me would have complained. The place was pretty full too and I was so surprised to only see a few people in the stands standing up. :/ I should have done it anyway...

The show, imo, was the best I had ever seen/heard. I don't know if its just the magic of actually being there, but Amy has never sounded better! =) I managed to record some stuff. ><;; It turned out crappy, (except for Good Enough) but I have most of the concert minus Sweet Sacrifice. I have one small video of Sweet Sacrifice and one picture. My cam was "full" after SS which pissed the hell out of me, but what can you do, eh? I took some really stupid pics with my phone. Security sucked! They made people wait in that long line (which my friend and I cut) so they could "search" us, which was like a glance in our purses and a quick pat down. >_> Yeah, real thorough, guys. I am not sure which was my favourite song they performed! I always love hearing "Weight of the World" live. "Your Star" is quite impressive too. It sounded a bit funny at times, but I'm sure they're still fine-tuning it, eh? "Cloud Nine" sounded a lot better than it did at the Ottawa gig. "The Only One" was good too. Gah, just the whole thing.. <333333

I quite liked Stone Sour. They really impressed me. I will have to give "Come What(ever) May" a better listen soon. I loved how Corey was like "I don't know if you guys know this, but it's f*cking cold outside!" xDDDD Yeah, no **** =P And I found his excessive swearing highly amusing. I'm sure all those parents with their kids were like "OMFG NO HE DIDN'T!" =P The Black Maria was.. ok. XDDD I missed their set except for the last song.

I hope you guys had a good time! Did any of you manage to meet the band after the gig? I couldn't stay because my friend had an 8 AM class so I didn't want to keep her. She was my ride. XDDD

I'm so tempted to go to the Vancouver show! This concert was really amazing. I want to experience it all over again.

we were on balcony we were the only people in the whole venue who were standing it was awsome people told us to sit down and shut up so we screamed louder. I was like WE LOVE YOU TERRY when he was mucking about on stage I screamed all the words and had a good time.Black Maria sucked. SS was pretty cool.I have never seen so many corsettes in my life lol.I'm pretty sure amy musta saw us like I said we were the only people standing the whole time. I loved the snow in Lithium...I bought a hoodie tour tee and neclace it was pretty stellar best day ever even though I didn't get home till 3am

That was amazing! The meet and greet was crazy. I was so nervous my boyfriend did a lot of the talking for me. I got Amy to sign my CD on the Lose Control page. I told her it was my favorite and she was like "Me too. I wish we could play it live, but there is so much background stuff going on it would sound messy" then when I got to John I iasked him how long his tattoo sleeve took to do and he was like "30 hours, just for one ****in' arm!" so I thought that was cool. I just said welcome to the band to Tim, and then at the end of the concert he spotted me, pointed and said "hey it's you!" and threw me a pick. My boyfriend caught Rocky's drum stick too! awsome night, and everyone sounded amazing. I was laughing so hard at the beginning of BMTL when Amy was like "Don't get comfortable I"m not gonna be here long. This wouldn't be a good time to get a drink!" (there were 2 girls leaving as she said this) I have pictures I'll try to post, but I"m kinda technologically retarded. And I'll scan the autographed stuff too.

The show was amazing cept for the fact that our tickets (which we got on pre sale) sucked. We were so high up you could hardly see. Also same problem with the crowd. I swear hardly anyone in our section was cheering. Why bother going if you dont even really like the band? I was also amazed no one was standing... when I went to concerts at my old home town in kamloops (smaaaall town) People stood for concerts. But anyways Evanescence was amazing, they did not let me down. The crowd just sucked.

Wow, was I one of the only ones with AMAZING seats?!?! I was ****ING FRONT ROW! Haha I LOVED IT!! It was so freakin awesome. Amy sounded amazing and the band played wonderfully! Everyone around me was so pissed off because of me singing and, well, when I sing I have an extremely strong and loud voice SOO they gave me bad looks cos they heard me just as much as the music:p I was just off to the left a bit, so not in the middle, but still soo close! Close enough to scream loud and get Amy's attention:p Haha, during My Immortal when she got the crowd to sing she looked at me, probably cos I was being so damned loud!

As for the openings, I didn't mind The Black Maria, but I don't think they were the GREATEST. I'll still pick up their CD, though and give it a better listen.

Stone Sour....Ahhh wellll I liked hearing Through Glass, Bother, and 30-30/150 live, but I dunno, there was just something about it that made me not like it. Part of it being that when he was spitting water into the crowd it hit me. I don't want to be spit on, no matter how famous he may be, thats just gross.

So all in all, I LOVED THE CONCERT! I'm sorry for all of you that had to have ****ty seats where you couldn't even rock out:(

My husband and I definitely had the best spot---to the left of the catwalk right on the barricade! :p We had the best view of Amy on the piano....and just before she started to sing, Your Star, myself, and the girls next to me screamed out, WE LOVE YOU AMY, and she smiled. I had a fabulous time, the show was amazing from where we were.....especially during Lithium, and all the bubbles....wow, we were getting them all over us! Amy's voice is breathtaking, as is her appearance. Although she says she is pretty much tired of performing My Immortal, that song had everyone standing from what I could see and you could hear the crowd singing. It was pretty cool. After the encore, Tim came over to the girl that was next to me, and gave her his pick....she loved that! I came home with the set list! ;)

As for the opening bands, well, not really what I listen too. There were some teens that only came just for SS, and after the first band, they yelled out, you suck just as bad as Ev. HOW RUDE is that? They did leave once SS was done, their loss. We had to duck a few times during Stone Sour as the singer loved to throw his water after he took one drink. Let's just say, he's entertaining, even though he was feeling a little under the weather--another thought of mine when he first started singing, he needs to brush his hair before he performs. Once he starts his headbanging, wow, we all could see his hair flying everywhere! LOL I do have to say, LOVED Through Glass....you could hear everyone singing.....it was awesome-I was looking forward to that song from them. AND I did manage to catch 2 Stone Sour picks if you can believe that! ;)

ya, the dude from stone sour definitely loved throwing his water. i like couldnt stop laughing though, cuz i thought it was hilarious! he'd take off the lid, chuck it at the crowd, and he chucked a full water bottle into the crowd! im sorry, but they dont need to chuck water at fans. its just...weird. i think all that head banging messed with his head. lost some brain cells. lol jk.

LOL...I actually didn't hear you.....although, I was singing pretty loud myself with a cold! I'm sure I sounded awful! Yah, with those girls, they were so cute, snuck in their camera and were so worried about taking pics. I did see that they got a talking too closer to the end of the show. One of them had parent's on one side of the arena and the other's dad was on the opposite side. I thought it was cool that their parent's were there so see Evanescence themselves---they were cute girls!
The other girls that were on my side took lots of pics with their phones, I'm hoping I remembered the one's email address correctly, she said she'd email me the pics. I was going to bring my camera in, but didn't have anywhere to really hide it since I wore tight clothing. This was the first time I've been to a concert at the Saddledome that they've patted you down. SUCKED!!!

In case you didn't get that impression from other comments. I was totally...TOTALLY blown away by how close to perfect Amy's voice was. So strong, clean and accurate. It was so perfectly controlled, I was completely blown away. Especially when she really opens up in CMWYS and Lithium. And when she snaps into that opera head voice? My jaw hits the floor..(which is something I try to avoid on sticky, beer soaked floors) but WOW. I was amazed. I loved "Your Star," "The Only One," "Imaginary," and...of course..."My Immortal" haha...that's when I'd finally had it with sitting and being polite and I finally stood up...only to be met with glares of hate from my whole section...which is unfortunate. The crowd in the stands sucked pretty hard, except for a few people who I'm pretty sure were Ev-Threaders. (we rock so effing hard)

Stone Sour is....not my bag haha. I wan't into their set that much, I was mostly put off by the endless f-bombs. The Black Maria was pretty bland...the lead singer needed some serious mic training, in my opinion. But Ev played a ****ing wicked set and I sang so hard it was insane hah. I had a great night!

The show was awesome, better than the Stage 13 show, even though I thought that was really good.

Start off with the Black Maria. This was my second time seeing them, and they were good. Not really my style of music but nevertheless, they were good. Stone Sour was good also I thought, and I was kinda wanting to see them also. Of course, not as much as Evanescence....LOL. Yeah, they put on a good show and if they ever come back to Calgary on their own, I'd definately go see them. I got Stone Sour's setlist after they were done, and I got it signed by two of the guys afterwards, so that was cool.

On to Evanescence now. Definately what I was expecting, it was awesome. I was right up front, on the side opposite the piano. I loved the snow they had, well, the soap anyways....LOL. That was a nice touch I thought. Amy sang in front of me a few times, so that was cool. I loved when she mentioned how good Winnipeg was, and everyone booed. Sad to say, Winnipeg probably beat us. Hey, I was rockin' out, but alot of people in the stands were sitting.

After the show I waited outside, and I decided I'd wait as long as it took. Even when the security guards said that Amy had left, I didn't believe them. So, Terry came out about 11:15 or so, which was cool. It would have been just as awesome if John, Rocky, and Tim came out and not Amy. Then, about 45 minutes later I think, the bass player and the one guitarist for Stone Sour came out, and I got my setlist signed. Finally, after waiting for three hours, Amy came out. I didn't get a picture or anything, but I did get both my copy of The Open Door signed, as well as Fallen.

An awesome show, an awesome night.

Just curious, was their bus/busses right at the bay doors? Or were they in a parking lot.

I'm wondering, because, in Edmonton there were three or four busses, and we were trying to figure out which was Ev's. One was backed down to the doors, and two or three more were in the parking lot beside it. We saw Rocky leaving one in the parking lot after the show.

We didn't get to meet anyone because it was pretty cold out after the show, and I couldn't feel my feet after 30 minutes. Some people were waiting at the fence near the one bus, and some of us were waiting at the end of the driveway leading down to the bus, and behind the other busses.

Dude. first, what the hell was that first opening act? The Black Maria... oh my. I wanted to leave. LoL. Why were they touring with them man? E for effort but damn. Anywho, stonesour was alright I guess. Not exactly 'on' as he apologises lol but not to bad. Never thought I'd see corey taylor topless lol :p But then Evanescence came out. Oh man I forgot about the noisy little tweens behind us and it was great. She looked amazing as usual. But I had one beef. She would complain about playing a song like 'we all heard it a million times but here it is anyway' and it was like ouch. She said something like that b4 lithium and that was the one i was most looking forward to hearing lol. It was amazing regardless lol. The snow was awesome! Looked awesome.Rocky brought it, all in all pretty good :)

i thought that was one of the most amazing shows ive ever seen, i was front the whole time, had amy point at me, stone sour was obviously amazing, had corey headbangin with me which was awsome, just the whole experience was great, can't wait to see em again. i just wish i lived in calgary, i live in lethbridge and all the good shows come to calgary so i have to keep on driving up there hahaha.
