Hey, you may (or may not) have heard that people from Oz who preordered TOD from Sanity or HMV had the chance of winning a huge block-mounted Evanescence poster.

As you may have guessed from the thread title, I just received notification today that I won! :)

To enter, we had to tell them 'in 30 words or less what you might find if you walk through the "open door"'.

I've never won anything in my life and it all came together on Friday the 13th! :eek:

I'll post up a picture of it when it arrives.

It went something like this:

I might find the soul of the person into whose eyes i'm staring. If I walked through a closed door, all i'd find is a massive headache.

I thought it was rediculous (still do), but I tried to throw a reference to the opening of Bring Me To Life.

HAHA...that's a great answer. I wasn't expecting it to end how it did, so it amused me :p

Congrats anyway...there are so many Ev competitions around atm!

Wow! That's great! Congratulations!

There have been a lot of Evanescence competences, even here in my country, there are a lot, but I don't get into them because I know I won't won :D

Hehe I see a few people asking that. I guess we'll find out when it arrives! Although I think it's a large poster that's printed onto a solid wooden base rather than the rolled-up paper variety and you can hang it like a piece of art or framed photo. Seems like a good collectors item.

It'd be sweet to get it signed next time they're in Sydney but it looks too big to lug it anywhere... ;)

Wow congrats!!! They had a similiar contest thingy at the HMV's in Toronto when I was there. When you purchased TOD you recieved a free Ev keychain and a small key. They had this treasure chest like box behind the counter that only one key opened. (of course mine didn't open it, I am not THAT lucky) So I asked this one guy what was in the box. He was like I have no idea. So the next HMV I went to I asked the chick working and she said I think you win a date with the lead singer. I was like weird what if a girl won. Then I seen a sign that said you won a mounted autographed photo of the band!

CONGRATS on your win! Can't wait to see your cool pics of it!!! :)

It's 45cm x 60cm (or 18" x 24" for all you imperialists out there ;))

Quite a nice size for the wall. Not too imposing. Looks good!
