Am I going to see any of you people there? Eh, probably not because I am lame and got seats. :p I'm coming from San Antonio. Anyone else live in San Antonio? I just moved here, and I'm curious as whether anyone else lives here.

On another note, what is up with the official site not liking this concert? They never announced when tickets went on sale. In fact, it still says "TBA". Hahaha.

Anyway, I wanted to go to this show, but it's pretty much at the worst possible time for me. Also, it being a Sunday night would mean me having to miss school, which wouldn't work so well. But oh well, I've already seen them once and I'll most likely see them again when they come back to the US in '07.

They usually open the doors there an hour before the show time and there's always a long line to get in.

I got back from the concert about 45 mins ago. I had to say that it was absolutely FANTASTIC!!! I haven't been to very many concerts in my life but I'm so glad i made it to this one. Amy was in great voice, she sounded absolutely angelic and looked the part as well. The rest of the band also did wonderfully. I've never had so much fun in my life being surrounded by EV fanatics like myself. I only wish I had either brought my camera or my camera in my phone didn't suck. I was afraid if I brought it that they would be confiscating them or something. Hopefully there will be some pics on the net from other concert go-ers.

Well, should any of the band happen to read this, I think your show was breathtaking an I'm now an even bigger fan than before. Consider me an EV fan for life!!! Good luck on the rest of your tour and have a great time. I will be seeing you again when you come back from over seas in 07 (if the rumors are true).

Amy and Terry, I can't even begin to tell you how much the lyrics to your new songs meant to me before I saw you live and now they mean even more. Watching Amy sing them with such passion left me awe-struck. It seemed like you were singing just for me for the person in my past they apply to. I want to thank you for your dedication to writing meaningful songs that really get my adrealine pumping and help me let go of the pain. Everytime I hear them, a little piece of those negative feelings die. I can't wait to see you guys again.

To close, you guys ROCK harder and better than any band in the history of the World!!!!!

P.S.: Just wanted to mention that i drove 9 hours from B.R. to Houston to see this concert (construction, car accidents, oil spills on the highway...etc.) Nothing was going to stop me from this concert. I drove 9 hours and I'll do it again! :):) Keep on rocking and never stop

Yes, I agree, the concert was more than awesome!
A lot of fans....I think I saw more this time than when they came to the woodlands. Great energy, the venue was small which I think it was awesome! lol. I took videos and pictures...and a lot of people did too LOL, but yeh I'll try to upload em tonight to show you guys. Great experience! cant wait to see em live again :)

Being a true Ev fan, I also made the road trip from Baton Rouge to Houston. Had to leave after the concert, and got home around 5 am. Had to work today. It was a great concert and there were plenty of people that took pictures, myself included. I will upload some this evening when I have more time. This concert ROCKED.

I laughed when during Good Enough some guy yelled out "You're good enough Amy" loud enough for the entire venue to hear. Everyone started laughing and cheering.

The concert was amazing.... except for the fat sweaty drunk chicks rubbing their arms on me... yuck.

we waited after the concert by the buses and the band members came out one by one to sign our stuff. I got all the guys sigs and amy signed my camera :) i was happy.

This show was amazing. I got to meet Amy, Terry, John, and Rocky!

I'll go ahead and give a summary of it.


After driving the 3 1/2 hour drive from San Antonio to Houston, we checked into our hotel at around 1:30. I got ready for the show and we headed out to the venue. We ended up getting there at 3:00 so I jumped out of the car with my drawing I wanted to give to Amy and my open door CD and ran to the buses. I went around to the gate and after a few minutes, a couple of other people joined me. I ended up getting the attention of one of the security men. He came up to me and I asked him if the band would be coming out soon, because I wanted to give Amy the drawing and I wanted to get my CD signed. He told me that the band could come and go as they please, but after he saw my drawing he said he'll try his best to get Amy out. I waited for around 15 minutes, and during that time, more people joined me at the gate. By then there were five other people standing at the gate with me. Anyway, while I was waiting, I see Ritchie come out from the backstage door and immediately the security man I had spoken to earlier approached him and they started talking. After that, they both began walking toward me followed by some of the crew members. When Ritchie came up to me, I showed him the drawing and told him I really wanted to give it to Amy before the show. He was really impressed with it (:D) and said "wow.. yeah. Amy's actually sick right now, and we've been going 7 days straight, but I'll definitely try to get her out here. I'll go see what she's doing right now" and he went backstage.

A little while later, Terry comes out of the bus and heads toward the backstage door to the venue, and we started calling him over and waving our CDs and he came over. First thing he noticed was the drawing I was holding and he liked it. I got him to sign my CD and I also got a picture with him. When he was walking away he was like "man.. next time I get a tattoo that girl is going to draw it for me" xD

A while after that, sure enough, out comes Amy and Ritchie. Amy walked up to me, and I really don't remember our conversation, but it went something like this:

"Hey!"
"Hey Amy! I wanted to give this to you"
"Oh wow.. thank you so much!"
"You're welcome!"
"Wow.. that's a lot of detail.. it's really pretty, thanks! Are you sure you don't want to keep it? *laughs*"
"Haha, yeah, I'm sure."
"Wow.. thank you so much!"
"You're welcome, I'm glad you like it! Can you sign this for me real fast?"
"Yeah sure"
“Thank you!”
“No problem”

Then she signed my CD and moved on to the next person. (there were STILL only 5 people there besides me, so it was almost like getting to meet her one-on-one, it was awesome.)

After she signed a few, she asked me if she could borrow my silver sharpie and I gave it to her. She signed everybody else's stuff and left, WITH my sharpie, haha. I had to go buy another for after the show. >_>

When Amy left, a crew member approached me and commissioned me to do a portrait of his band, so that was neat. =]


I left the venue and came back at 6:30 for the show. Standing in line was horrible. Tons of people were smoking, there were like 5,000 birds in the trees making so much noise that it was giving people a headache, and there was this lame ice cream truck that parked next to the line and wouldn't shut off it’s music. Everyone was getting really pissed at the truck. After a while of standing in line, I got up to the entrance and the security people didn't catch my camera, so I got it in. :D

The show was really great, I was impressed. Last time I saw evanescence, the crowd was boring and it didn't do much for me. This concert, on the other hand, was awesome. The crowd was into it, and Amy sounded great, especially considering the fact that she was sick.

After the show, we had to wait like 2 hours for the band to come out, Amy took the longest. It was FREEZING outside, so we double parked and waited in the car by the buses. The security guy and crew member I had talked to earlier came up to tell us to move, but they recognized me and told us we could stay. Haha. When the band came out, I ended up getting pictures of Amy, john, and rocky signing. I also got my CD signed by john and rocky. So I got 4/5 band member signatures. Tim never came out. =[

All in all, great experience. Can’t wait ‘till next year!

Oh wow it's you! I didn't know that you were the same person who drew this. I was all freaking out about it on DA and asked you to join Ev-Fanart. And you live in San Antonio, too! That's awesome.


And wow, Amy was sick? No way. That woman is insane. How could she be sick and sound that amazing? She was just flawless. I went with my mom and after the show, she was raving about how great her voice is. It gave me chills when she did all those high operatic parts.

At first, I was kinda disappointed that they were doing so many Fallen songs, but it was actually really nice to hear them again. They sounded better than ever. I especially loved how Amy's singing the high operatic part in "Whisper" now. And I've never been a huge fan of "The Only One", but I really loved it live. Much more powerful.

And I was really glad to see John do some of the solos. He did them really well. I especially loved the way he did the solo in "Lacrymosa". And Rocky was fantastic! He changed up the drumming a bit on one of the older songs I think it was, can't remember which one, but I remember really loving what he did with it. I felt so bad for Terry, though! I hated to see him not be able to rock out like I'm sure he wanted to. :(

I was also very pleased that, visually, the show was better than the previous tour. Still not as good as it could be, but it is much better. The lighting was really powerful at times, and I loved those little decorative lights they had. And of course, I love the pretty "e" backdrop they're using now.

My only little complaint was that the backing track stuff, or whatever it's called, wasn't loud enough. Like on "Lacrymosa" I had a pretty hard time hearing the choir. It was still hella epic, but it just would've been even more so if the choir was louder.

But all in all, amazing show. I can't wait to see them later on in the tour again. Hopefully, they'll play the rest of the songs from TOD. I will be heartbroken if I never get to see "Cloud Nine" and "Lose Control" live. :(

Ahh, she was sick. That explains why she didn't go higher on the second "free" in Lacrymosa. I was waiting for it because I think that part is really beautiful, but sadly, no luck.

Still an awesome concert. Best one I've been to, by far, even though I had balcony seats.

Thanks for the vid.....now I wish even more that I'd been able to get to that show! Dallas was great but I don't like seats at a concert, they just get in the way and you don't use 'em anyway....I've seen a show before at the Verizon there in Houston and it's a pretty good venue -- especially if you get there early enough ;)
