Hey Tradedworth and Ana,
I am pissed off. I told my fiance that I wanted to leave Waunakee at like 2 to make it to milwaukee around 3 and he snapped on me like "why do you want to leave so early, blah blah blah, you psyco, blah blah blah blah." I am totally sad now.
I could leave him lol and find someone else to go to the concert with... hmm I actually have been considering this but then again... he's cool with the stuff just not with the wait since the concer doesn't start till 8.
I will try to be there as easly as (the guy) permits it.
I already have a tour shirt which I will be wearing. I want to dress cool for the concert. I already know how I am doing my make up but anyone has some clue about a cool outfit? Take into consideration it'll be cold.....
Hope we can meet up... that would be sooo cool.
Ana I know you are an EVFANCLUB member so it will be even more cool to have all the hardcore fans together...........

I'll let everyone else chip in the fun stuff (setlist, signage, etc.).
Great, great show tonight. The crowd was hot from start to finish. Revelation Theory had the place rocking pretty good, then Ev basically had the crowd eating out of their hand the entire night. Great mix of old and new material. I definitely enjoyed myself.
There were about 30-40 people around the bus after the show, and I saw Rocky came out and signed some stuff, but then I had to jet so I don't know if anyone else came out. I'm sure they probably did.

I felt compelled to actually post a more in-depth recap of my going to the Ev show last night, so here goes nothin'.
I got to the Rave around 4. It was cold. I stood around the front for a half hour talking to the security guy before he actually tells me the line for the Ev show is on the side. So if you saw the one guy in a black hoodie standing at the front from 4-4:30, that was me, lol. I was listening to Ev do soundcheck anyway, and the security guy was fairly amusing so I didn't mind. I hopped in line at 4:30 and just before 5 they let us in to get frisked, wanded, and shuffled into the Rave bar so we didn't have to stand out in the cold. An hour and a half of random conversations later, they let us upstairs.
People were seriously sprinting up the stairs and ran to the front. I didn't run and grabbed a front row spot just to the right of the stage, infront of the first speaker/woofer tower. It was a diagonal, but I could see well. For those there, I was about 3 feet to the right of the righthand side LED that flashed bright white light during pretty much every Ev song. Behind me was an older guy who kept snatching up crowd cutters and sending them on their way, which was fairly amusing. While waiting, I noticed the site staff were cracking down on people trying to smoke, come to find out they were told Amy doesn't like second-hand smoke, so they were going to attempt to enforce a no-smoking policy.
After another hour and a half of waiting, Revelation Theory hit the stage. The thing that most impressed me about them is they had great, great stage presence. With a lot of bands, they either have *it* or they don't. Rev Theory has *it*. They lost the crowd a little bit with the "Hunger Strike" cover, but the lead singer got them back by taking his shirt off, lol. I bought their CD when the singer was walking around while Ev's peeps were setting up.
Evanescence went on at 9:10 and rocked it out for an hour and 10 minutes. The new songs definitely sound better live than they do on CD. Good Enough definitely sounds awesome live.
Getting out of the show wasn't easy, and it took a half hour to get out. I stood around for 20 minutes only to find out the bus was in the back, so I went back there, saw Rocky signing some stuff and had to leave. At least for next time I know where they hide the busses now.
.. that's interesting they took away a camera phone. One guy was pretty much taking pics and vids the whole show on his phoneand no one cared. At one point the security guy was standing directly infront of him and did nothing. I was tempted to take out my phone, but knowing the Rave security, I'd have been the one to get my phone jacked.

Grr to those of you who met amy last night. I got out there too late. Acutally, I think i was just hanging out at the wrong place when waiting for her. i have the chicago show yet, though.
i met john & rocky & saw terry but he was doing something so i didnt bother him. the pictures of john & i & rocky & i are here (http://www.evthreads.com/showthread.php?t=591).
I don't have the energy to type out my experiance (im soo damn tired) but i gotta tell you, it was sooo mind blowing to even have amy in front of me singing that i almsot cried earlier while talking about it.

Everything I have heard so far about the show is totally correct. That girl that threw up, splattered on my poor little neices pants, but we didn't realize til after the show. I was in the semi middle, just off to the right very minor amount standing next to a really tall older dude (who was kinda behind me) and a really old guy to my left. I was in awe the whole time and this did not help my obsession one bit. I have never experienced anything like it. I am looking for pics from the show that are good enough quality to print out, so if anyone wants to email me some that would be SO GREAT. If not, thats okay. :( But yeah, add me to your myspaces people, love to meet EvFolks.

Lee brings Evanescence to life
Singer effortlessly hits all her notes
By JON M. GILBERTSON
For the Journal Sentinel
Posted: Oct. 15, 2006
Evanescence frontwoman Amy Lee might be the most honest singer in the subgenre of modern heavy metal - or nu-metal, as some have tagged it.
When she and her band performed Saturday night at the Eagles Ballroom, she was able to lay bare the self-pity, scorn and spite that her predominantly male contemporaries choose to conceal behind a layer of machismo that often is as laughably jury-rigged as it is patently transparent.
If her female contrast didn't supply an overtly sexy charge (unless verbal vitriol counts as foreplay and sadness as seduction), it did supply a lot of gender.
That womanliness probably was not, on its own, the reason the venue was full to capacity. Yet whatever magnetism and electricity Evanescence conducted, Lee was its generator.
Like other electromagnetic forces, hers combined the properties of attraction and repulsion.
As a lyricist, Lee favors the latter property; her lexicon wouldn't parse without negative words such as "lie" and "fall." The very title of Evanescence's latest single, "Call Me When You're Sober," pushes away from rock's party mood.
But her voice is undeniably attractive in an obvious way - Lee projected so loudly and clearly that she seemed to be trying to reach well beyond the confines of the Eagles Ballroom, and she hit the notes throughout the set. No screaming or growling, in other words.
(It is not entirely sexist or irrelevant to add that, by Gothic standards - raven hair, ivory skin, light-bondage dress sense - Lee is a looker.)
As a pianist, too, Lee isn't like the other modern-metal bandleaders. The frequently cited Tori Amos comparisons are apt, to a point, but Lee never sounded quite so disturbingly surreal or effortlessly strange as Amos can.
Lee's musical backdrop, furthermore, is much more conventional: If she is what distinguishes Evanescence from the rest of popular heavy rock, then the rest of Evanescence is what keeps the band from transcending that style.
The four guys (two guitarists, bassist, drummer) supported Lee with the standard chugging riffs, temper-tantrum beats and maximum volume of nu-metal.
Without Lee's voice, songs such as the pummeling "Bring Me to Life" and the leaden "Weight of the World" didn't necessarily have to come from these particular musicians. Korn or Limp Bizkit would've managed just as well.
Still, Evanescence didn't hide its adherence to form any more than Lee hid her pleasure with the crowd's ardent response.
For this night, she was the happy heroine of melodramatic depression.
That means a lot coming from him. He's probably Milwaukee's harshest reviewer.

I thought the show freakin ROCKED that night. Even though I couldn't get close to the stage...I'm kinda short it would've been hard for me to see. So I was up on the top in section C watching it all below. It wasn't that far away. I absolutly loved it!

Here's a review i got for as show of Evanescence:
Evanescence Reawakened
Over 3,000 admirers packed The Rave's Eagles club Saturday night to
follow the Snow White Queen of heavy metal in a 90 minute cathartic
release. Amidst the throng of pony tails, body piercings and heavy
mascara, passions were unlocked by the torrid vocal performance
Evanescence front woman Amy Lee.
The set was launched with "Sweet Sacrifice," from the quintet's
newly released sophomore album Open Door, already number one on
Billboard after only two weeks. Shrouded by the band emblem entwined
in a shadowy gothic gate motif, they plunged into hits, "Bring Me to
Life," "Going Under" and the recent sensation "Call Me When You're
Sober." At 24, Lee's harmonic minor melodies weaved easily between
and over distorted staccato guitars, layers of sampled strings and
pulsing sub-sonic percussion. After twirling about the stage in a
fanciful pink skirt coupled with traditional rock attire, she slid
confidently behind the Baldwin Piano to emote the stormy
ballad "Lithium" and the hauntingly beautiful encore from their
popular 2003 debut Fallen, "My Immortal."
Other high notes included "Weight of the World" which showcased
Lee's piercing upper register in a chilling riff with the
paradoxical lyric stating "all my screaming has gone unheard." In
the middle of the show "Whisper," which trailed off into a dark
Gregorian chant was also met with a magnitude of cheers. The
rapturous crowd was unrelenting from beginning to end,
enthusiastically singing along with both old and new material;)

For those of you not on EvClub...
Hey, I don't know when tickets go on sale but I am listening to the radio and the guy (Randy Hawke) said that Evanescence will be comming around the Madison Area sometime in April.
That was posted by a member, so that means confirmation on the fact that Evanescence IS coming back to Wisconsin... in April (maybe on my birthday? :p)!

so i wish i woulda snuck in my digital camera to take pics/vids of the show...but i've had bad experiences with almost getting my **** taken from me at the rave, so i didn't risk it....so the reason for the not so awesome quality of pics is cuz i was using a disposable camera (inside the show).
