Awesome. I have absolutely no idea when I'll be arriving, I'll be picking up my friend the night before but my mother has the tickets and I don't have my license yet so we can't go until she gives the ok. Though she's also a big Evanescence fan so hopefully we'll be there by 3. I don't mind waiting in line for a few hours, as long as it's not frigid outside like it has been the last couple of days.

I'm sick. Really sick. And the show is tomorrow. :( But I'll be there.

I read some online reviews for the Riviera. Some were old, and some were as recent as last week. In general, they said that the theatre is okay and the staff is friendly, but there is little to no air conditioning, and they don't take debit cards/credit cards. I'm not sure if this policy has changed, but take cash folks.

Desperately, desperately wanted to see this show. Stupid college. From the ravings I've heard from fellow Evfreaks, the show is rockin', but that's not too big of a surprise.

Thanks for the recommendation. I wish I had read this earlier. Luckily I'm feeling a lot better already.

Just a few hours guys! I really dread this car ride right now. Google maps says its 9 hrs 34 mins. Rand McNally and Mapquest both say 7.5 hrs. :( We're leaving here at 6 am in the morning. I need to sleep right now but I just can't!!!

So... is anyone going to attempt to take a camera? Or no?

I didn't mean to come off bitchy. If I did, sorry. I was more working towards exasperated sarcasm, if there is such a thing.

SORRY I HEART YOU I DIDN'T MEAN IT.

Anyway, CONCERT w00t. I don't know jack about the entrance, or where to park or any of that. I should probably check on that...

I'm probably gonna stick with my EvBoard nametag, by the way, because I'm Mesektet here was well as there. I'm gonna try to bring in a camera...I dunno. I'll try.

The best day of my life...My dream come true...The concert was fantastic along with Revolation Theroy. My seats were amazing and I saw everything perfectly! I couldn't ask for anything more. It went by so freaking fast and now I'm sad it's over. The best part was receiving that hug from Amy. I balled so bad it wasn't even funny. I couldn't contain myself so I just let it out. The band are really cool people. I love them all to death! If anyone has any ?'s about the concert just pm me! I'll tell you the whole story hehe!! Totally recommend going if you can! It's amazing!! Peace!

A good show. My first time seeing the post-Ben band, but my 7th show overall. "Good Enough" and "Lithium" were both incredible. Fans really seem to really eat up "My Immortal" -- the energy for that one was intense. I was a little disappointed that there was no pre-Fallen material and it seemed to be sort of a short show but overall well worth it.

They were on Q101 this morning. I only got the last half of the interview. She was just mainly talking about the new album, how the last night's concert went and basically everything we heard before. I just thought it was cool to hear her on my local stations. Did anyone else hear this interview?

We were front row on the balcony, which had an awesome view of the stage. Best seats in the house, in my opinion. I loved Revelation Theory. After they played, they came up into the balcony to meet some people sitting next to us. That was cool.

The whole night was awesome. And I'd never previously been to Chicago, but we had a blast. I regret now not taking my camera, but I didn't want to get it taken and risk not getting it back. We would have had awesome pictures if I had taken it.

I didn't see anyone with tags. Although I didn't really look too hard. But we arrived at like 6:00 and everyone was probably already inside. I can't wait to see everyone's pictures!

I posted this on EvBoard, but for anybody who can't see it, this is how my day went:

Well, I woke later than I wanted for, for starters. I wanted to try really hard to meet the band [which I didn't, by the way, so somebody has to tell me how to do that for next time], so I wanted to wake up around nine-ish, and ended up getting up around eleven. SUXZOR. I had a ****load of stuff to do before we left, and I ended up doing half of it because we were pressed for time.

Went to my mom's to duct tape my nametag to my hoodie - I DIDN'T SEE ANYONE WITH THE NAMETAGS, BY THE WAY. Which doesn't mean people didn't wear them, but I got to the venue late and I didn't see anybody. SO.

My boyfriend and I stopped at BK to get eats and then we decided it would be a good idea to NOT DRIVE TO CHICAGO, so we took the train, which left at 3:20, much later than I wanted it to. An hour on the train landed us at Union Station, where Phil [my lovely, ****EATING CHEAPSKATE boyfriend] decided that instead of taking a cab to venue, he wanted to take the Red Line. Which is okay, except we were walking around Chicago for A HALF HOUR looking for a Red Line station. ARGH. "Babe, please, let's just take a cab. BABE, PLEASE. BABEPLEASEICAN'TWALKANYMOREPLEASEPLEASE." That's basically how I sounded in the ears of my boyfriend.

So, we finally find a Red Line, and took that to Wilson where we promptly walked up the street to the venue. Phil got in rather quick, but he had shucked off his huge green army bag on me so I had to get that searched before I got in. Now, this is around six-ish, which pissed me off because I really, really wanted to get there a little early to gaurntee decent seats.

Turns out, it didn't matter, because when we got in there, the pit was pretty clear. Sweet, says I. Phil and I got some time so we run around the venue like kids in an Evanescence-shaped candy store, running all over the levels, just generally checking the place out. It was really cool looking, very old and just generally pretty and very intimate. So we get back down to pit before Revelation Theory hit the stage, and I was jamming to them. They were cool, but not like OMFGREVELATIONTHEORYOWNSME good. A lot of their songs sounded alike in my opinion, and the bassist was an attention whore. But they were okay.

Now, I HATE WAITING. For anything, ever. So when I had to wait a half hour between Revelation Theory and Ev, I was annoyed. I'd been walking around Chicago all day, mind you, and I was tired, my legs hurt, and I was working with four hours of sleep and half a very soggy Burger Kind burger in my system. I generally, was not a happy camper with the having to wait. Not that it wasn't worth it, or anything...

So when Ev finally hit the stage, I turn to my boyfriend who somehow got stuck a little ways behind me and said, "****ING FINALLY!" The chick who was behind me, who I have deemed the Boa Bitch because she was wearing a PINK FEATHER BOA, decided it would be pertinent to SLAP ME IN THE BACK OF THE HEAD. I ignored it, but when I really started to get into the music, thrashing and banging and generally acting like a dork, she tried to push me away from her. Maybe not to damage her precious boa, or something. So I kept stepping back, because her arm was throwing me off balance and into these really nice fifteen-year-old girls I was talking to before the show. Finally, she shoved me pretty hard and I just elbowed her in the gut. I don't have patience with ****tards, kthnx.

Then there was the French ****head People. Seriously, there were a bunch of French people at a show in Chicago. I dunno. Anyway, they kept sending the SAME GUY back and forth to the bar for drinks and it was getting REALLY ****ING INAPPROPRIATE and it was pissing everybody off because on top of that, these people were just being assholes to everybody around them. I mean, dude. This song? It's Lithium. Shut up and forget your vodka for three minutes, please.

Also, before the show some girl evidently passed out, and DUDE. There was a fight in the pit, between one of the French ****head People and some dude who wouldn't take their **** anymore. Apparently [my boyfriend watched the whole thing because he was like, two people away], one of the French guys did something and it started all verbally, and finally the French guy punched the other dude and they were like, ON THE GROUND beating the **** out of eachother. Guess to which song? MY ****ING IMMORTAL. Seriously. If that's not inappropriate, I dunno what is. BUT IT WAS AWESOME.

So, I met a couple of giggly fifteen-year-olds before the show who were really cool, and two younger girls with their dad who was this really tall biker dude and he was generally the badass guy. I love meeting nice people at concerts.

Anyway, but the show itself was AWESOME. Seriously. I was kinda in a bad spot, because if Amy went to far to the left I couldn't see her at all, but the music and the atomosphere and everything was just AWESOME. Best show ever, seriously.

DONE KTHNX.

Oh man, man oh man. What an incredible show (and an incredible experience---my very FIRST ev show!).

My roommate (from college) and I got to the venue at 8 or 9 AM, and I was something like 6th in line or something... Spent the whole day in the cold with all kinds of drama going on at the front of the line. It was very uncool. But the people were pretty nice.

By the way, I was the girl in the brown MTSU hoodie handing out stickers before the concert... If anybody was there early enough for that. I figured I'd mention that since I probably approached some of you.

So yeah, I got to be front row center (well, 5 feet from center so I could see Amy during the piano songs) so in my opinion this was the absolute greatest place I could've ever dreamed to have been, especially for my first Ev show.. Plus 2 big guys were standing behind me so I didnt' get smashed up against the barricade. Only problems were some very angry folks around us that didn't like my roommate, but everything turned out okay.

After the set John handed me his water bottle before leaving the stage, so I just about peed myself (naturally). Then I was out by their tour bus afterward and him and Terry walked by so I said hey, then Tim came out and I got him to sign my TOD cd and an empty gatorade bottle he had accidentally dropped. Hahahahaha. Anyway then I got a pic with him and went on my merry way---that Amy line was way too long for me since I'd been at the venue for like 15 hours. Or something like that.

Anyway---I can't believe how amazing everything sounded, looked, etc... And that its taken me 4 years to FINALLY see them live!!! :) Woo!
